So Cleveland now looks like:

G - D Garland, M Strus
G - D Mitchell, C LeVert
F - C Osman, J Okoro
F - E Mobley, G Niang, D Wade
C - J Allen

They spent all that money on three players and are they even any better than they were last season? They still have not fixed the hole in their starting lineup at SF. So they are still dependent on either Osman or Okoro developing and becoming the long term answer at SF.

I don't understand keeping LeVert and adding Strus. LeVert doesn't even fit their team. A marginal ball-handler / creator who can't get enough time on the ball next to D Mitchell & D Garland. Bad fit for their team.

Blanton 6-7.75 in bare feet at combine 2 years ago. 6-10 wingspan.

He cannot shoot. Between 25% and 28% from deep throughout NBA, college, and Gleague. Maybe a poor man's version of a young Tashaun Prince?

So Orlando now have at forward

F - F Wagner, Jett Howard, J Ingles
F - Banchero, Bol Bol, (J Isaac)

Great give a 35yo coming off a serious injury and a dodgy season $22mil to play ahead of a guy you just drafted 11th overall one week ago.

Watanabe minimum deal with Phoenix Suns.

It seemed obvious that Phoenix would be a prime destination for minimum guys, but I expected some players to at least test the market.

Phoenix

G - B Beal, C Payne
G - D Booker
F - Durant, Watanabe
F - K Bates Diop, Okogie
C - Ayton, D Eubanks

I like the Diop & Okogie mix at forward. Two defensive minded forwards to put alongside Durant. Watanabe a good contrast as a sharp-shooter.

Sounds like C Payne is significant in their plans. That they will use him a lot as a true PG to spell the two SGs as being the main ball-handler in the offense.

Keita Bates Diop was a two year minimum contract ($4mil). That was a good deal for Phoenix.

I wish PBS had gotten in on that.

Chimezie Metu to Phoenix. Minimum contract.

I can't say I know anything about the player. Recognize the name but I have no idea about his game.

Phoenix are busy. Is that the 3rd signing? And re-signed Okogie? 4th move of the day. Oh, they got Eubanks too. 5th move of the day.

LeVert got 2yrs $32mil from Cavs.

$16mil per annum. Not worth it.

Perk acting like Prince + Vincent makes the Lakers the favorites.
I'm not even sure T Prince is an improvement over T Brown.

G Vincent I like. I was worried about him leaving Miami but LAL is a good fit for him because he has LeBron to run the offense for him allowing him to be a defender/scorer at PG.

It depends on who the real Vincent is.  Is he the guy who looked like a key player in the playoffs, or is he the guy who averaged 9 points on 40% FG% / 33 3PT% last year?

I always thought Miami’s players overachieved because of Spo’s coaching. Now that they’ve gotten paid (Strus and Vincent) it would be interesting to see if they play with the same passion and grit as they did in Miami.
