Porzingis and two firsts (bullish on the GSW 1st being solid) for Smart, Gallo & Muscala is a huge return in my opinion.
A Curry injury and that is a lottery pick.
Imagine if this turned into a top 10 pick!

I am sad

Going to cry myself to sleep now  :'(

I am not enjoying this either lol

but I never really thought Porzingis was that great.  Obviously, that is a minority sentiment.

We've got #25, #35 and the TMLE to improve?

No, #35 is going to the Wizards in the deal.

Seems like PP stays and grant goes
Why would Grant go with us moving frontcourt depth?

Can they afford him?

To be honest, I kind of figured (perhaps irrationally) that Smart would always be a Celtic. Just a crazy, crazy day.

I was the opposite. I always expected Smart to leave and finish his career elsewhere. I thought he would decline young and be moved on.

And I suppose a Grant Williams sign and trade is an option? Otherwise yeah. You have a clear 7 player playoff rotation that is pretty darn strong. Two guys who might be playable in that situation. One guy who is just there to put smiles on faces.

You're probably two real contributors short, especially since you're betting on Brogdon, Zinger, Rob, Hortford to all be healthy in May / June.

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

Yep, it’s only top 4 protected.

Love all the love for Smart.

How 'bout losing Gallinari, who've been a diehard Celtics fan growing up and never even got to sniff a minute or second on the floor in a Celtics uniform. Just to get traded. Yikes. The media pitchforks will come out and say we're disloyal for not keeping a guy who tore his ACL and never getting to play for his diehard team.

Not that I'm oppose to it...it's all business, and I am for losing Gallo for a key contributor like Kristaps.

Disappointed to lose Muscala. He was a very good 4th big.

Except second row Joe NEVER played him. lol
This must be part of Brad's strategy - reduce the number of rotation guys so Joe can play his 7 favorites and not have to worry about developing anyone.

Give Brad credit for not running it back.
He has first round picks to make more moves

Still can move brogdan if needed

Still has options with grant

I'd start D White over Brogdon.

We got 3 big time offensive players in that lineup. We need D White's non-scoring impact next to them more than Brogdon's ball dominant style.
