Sounds to me the Clippers were dragging their feet and Boston said we don't need you.

The Celtics didn’t want to wait any deeper into Wednesday night on completion of the proposed three-way trade and pivoted away from including the Clippers in the deal, sources tell ESPN. Wizards and Celtics are working on revised scenarios now.

Sounds like it’ll still happen then

So basically Boston got tired of waiting around for the Clippers. Feels like deal will still happen.

It is important to note that there is the possibility that Porzingis and the Wizards mutually agree to push the option date of today out. If Porzingis really does want to play for us, it may be an option.

They can always see if Wiz/Zinger will mutually push the deadline back if they need time, too. Would seemingly be in everyone’s best interests.

I'm okay parting with #35 -- not much different for Washington and very low likelihood of being useful for us. A future first would give me some heartburn, you just never know. Maybe if it's heavily protected. Smart certainly would be way too much.

The LA Floppers always mess things up.

But OK, please go ahead and take on a 39-year old PG who is more injury prone than ever, along with your already injury-prone starting wings.

How much work is there?  It seems like everybody knows what's on the table.

They wanna push this? What if the Wiz finds a better suitor? We lose out on Porzingis and might be stuck with Brogdon forever

Sure, but I assume that Porzingis wants a guarantee that he'll be traded before he opts in.

Porzingis could just opt out, if he isn't happy with the trade. That's kinda why Washington is giving him up so cheaply. They have negative leverage.

Feels like all of Brad's roster plans hinge on getting KP and moving Brogdan.

I am sure he has a plan B but not sure you can go back to the same roster as last year at this point.

Wizards don't want Brogdon.  The work is finding someone that does.
