NBA Board of Governors is expected to vote this week on new policy that a team is unable to rest two star players in the same game, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Many league discussions over past 1-2 years have centered around stars playing more, curbing load management.

I predict lots of "injuries" if this policy goes into effect.  "DNP - hangnail".

Yeah, I get what they are trying to address but this seems really hard to enforce.  The first is how do you define "star" players?  What does that mean?  Is each team going to have a designated list of "star" players that can't be rested?  And is it really fair to apply to same rule to a 25 year old star and a 35 year old star?

I can't see this working very well.

Under current discussions among team and league personnel, a star is defined by someone who's made an All-Star or All-NBA team in the past three seasons, sources said.

Interesting.  So, the Celts won't be able to rest Brown and KP in the same game, but could rest KP and Brogdon.

It’s been longer than three seasons since Porzingis had a league recognition I think.

It has indeed.  For some reason I thought he made the ASG last season.

Yeah.  Allegedly his girlfriend wouldn't let him back inside their hotel room, so he beat her up once he got back inside.

If true, he should be permanently banned.  Instead, he'll be back in the league, at worst, next season.

Porter isn’t a good enough player to get the Miles Bridges treatment.

You would hope not.  This isn't his first concerning incident.

Hasn't KPJ always been a bit of a problem?  Fell in the draft in part due to character concerns (was suspended at USC at one point IIRC), was a locker room issue in Cleveland, and now this.

Not sure this is the guy to get undeserved forgiveness, given the track record.  I think he's done.

I remember a poster or two were adamant we should give this guy a chance when he was let go by Cleveland. Has always seemed like a scumbag throughout his career. Doubt he plays in nba game again.

He and Christian Wood also got suspended in Houston for insubordination, and he was there when Sterling Brown got beat up outside a strip club as well.
