Lowry could also be interesting in Milwaukee. They could replace J Carter with Lowry as backup PG and use Lowry in their finishing lineup alongside Jrue Holiday in the backcourt.

G - Jrue Holiday
G - Kyle Lowry
F - Khris Middleton
F - Giannis Antetokounmpo
C - Brook Lopez

That is an impressive finishing unit. Milwaukee have been complaining about too much responsibility / pressure on Jrue Holiday's shoulders as their offensive creator in the backcourt. Both as a scorer and a passer. Lowry can help should some of that responsibility. Two set of hands instead of one.

Milwaukee has had problems at that SG slot. Bringing in Kyle and playing smaller in the backcourt would be a better solution than their current cast of characters.

I don’t think lopez will be on bucks next year

Would be a huge loss.

. Portland is up against a looming luxury tax crunch. Reddish, who several executives believe has untapped potential, would enter the market as an unrestricted free agent.

His QO is 7.7m and they were worried he would sign it.

Would you offer him the TPMLE?

Not sure he is worth it. That's a full upside move.

Only worth the minimum for me.

Hauser > Reddish

Not sold that Reddish offers us anything worthwhile. We already have Hauser and J Walsh at his position. Hauser is the best player of the three. Then Reddish. Then Walsh.

I would think that if we are signing a SF it should be someone better than Hauser.

If it is just to provide depth behind Hauser, we already added J Walsh to do that. Not convinced there is enough added value in adding a 2nd 3rd string SF.

If Chicago was half-competent, this would be a precursor to moving him at the trade deadline. But they're not, so I fully expect them to keep him until he loses value.

The team offense would look a lot better with Garland with major improvements in tempo, dribble penetration and playmaking.

G - Garland, Brogdon
G - D White
F - Tatum, Hauser
F - Horford, G Will
C - Porzingis, Timelord

Is the improvement in offense worth the drop-off in defense? I am not sure but I am interested. It is well worth considering.

Just look at how much better the ball-handling & passing is on the perimeter with Garland there instead of Jaylen. Getting to play D White as a two guard giving us a second ball-handler. And Tatum as a third ball-handler. Far superior ball-security, dribble penetration and team passing.

Turnovers are going to be a major problem for this team next season. Having a PG like Garland and being able to play an extra ball-handler in D White next to him would go a long way to allievating that concern.

I haven’t seen much of Garland other than against the C’s. I know he runs a good offense which is what we’d be interested in. Can’t speak to his defense, but I can to Brown’s: It’s been trash for a few seasons now.
I think trash is harsh. He's definitely not a consistently elite defender, and frequently gets lost when off-ball, but he is still a + on that end.

However, I still pull the trigger on getting Garland for him. Improves our offence in just about every way. Don't think Cavs are actually moving him, sadly.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I feel really good about Hauser getting good minutes next year and producing.  Feels like he’s the sharpshooter that’s been discussed here for years.  I may be the only one to feel ok about him defensively, but he does work on D - gets picked on, but stays with it - and rebounds reasonably well (effort). I think he’ll be a net positive more often than not.  Can’t leave him alone and his bbiq is decent.  Love how quickly and smoothly he can get his shot off.

With all the contract shedding by teams across the board due to the CBA, I'm starting to think Celtics may not in fact offer JB a super max deal; it will be very hard to trade other than to a team with the cap space to absorb it.  By the time his new contract kicks in, I doubt that any teams will have that much cap space.  Until now, I figured the only negotiation would be over the 5th year option. Now not so sure.

If Brad can't negotiate something more reasonable, we could be looking to trade him this off-season. Not sure if one year of JB for 4 years of Garland works without adding some picks, honestly.  The combined Garland, JT and KP contracts make a lot more sense than those of JB, JT and KP.  Just saying.

Yeah, with the official CBA now released, it is as bad as we all thought it would be. Draft picks locked 7 years out, moved to the end of the 1st round, etc. I think we should all assume that Grant is a no-go no matter what at this point. There's just no way we are going to go over the 2nd apron just to keep him.

But, yeah, I am starting to come around on trading Jaylen. It is worth discussing numbers with him and seeing if they can come to an agreement, but $60M/yr over 5 years is going to be crippling for a non-superstar. And Tatum will command slightly more next season. I really like Jaylen and want to keep him, but with KP's arrival and pending extension, it seems pretty unreasonable.

It's really too bad they didn't make it so that teams who draft well don't get screwed. Like, a team's cap would only get 'charged' the max amount another team could pay their player in FA. That way, Jaylen gets his money, but the franchise isn't screwed.

The Lakers could offer him the full MLE ($12.3M annually). Nuggets can only offer up to $7.8M this year.

How do they have the cap to keep Reaves, Hachimura, and go out to sign Bruce Brown while maintaining LeBron and Davis. Can't PBS jump in on this.

That would be a fantastic signing for LAL if they can pull it off.

G - D Russell, Schroder
G - A Reaves, B Brown
F - LeBron, (B Brown)
F - Vanderbilt, Hachimura
C - A Davis, Mo Bamba

Bruce Brown would go a long way to improving their bench unit. Brown, Hachimura and Schroder is a pretty nice group for an 8 man rotation in the playoffs.
