Idk if people saw Zolak&Bertrand today, but when they talked with Mazzulla which is their regular weekly segment, he just sounded like a different guy. Way more comfortably, outgoing, happier/fun. And he was answering questions thoughtfully and talking about the team and season with good insights.

The jury may still be out depending on how the season starts and goes, but I like the new Joe. He definitely seems way more comfortable than before and doesn't sound as serious/stoic (in a mean way) to the media and others.

Different feel to the team. And Joe had a great momentum stopping TO last night.
Like most people in new jobs, year 2 is better than year 1.
Yep.

And I still think we're all underrating the toxicity of a coaching staff that had one foot out the door. All of Ime's guys were looking to get out and probably resented Mazulla getting the top job, to some degree. Having his own staff and time to actually prepare on top of now having a year under his belt, it makes sense he'd be in better spirits.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Wow I've been busy the past few days and didn't even realize Gabriel was waived.

How has Queta looked?

I'm still not feeling good about Kornet being our 3rd big...

Queta looked decent. Definitely has potential.  Here are some clips:

Brad Stevens was also on the radio show last week, and he mentioned how everyone knows their role. I couldn't help but remember Marcus Smart playing the role of head coach during the conference finals.

Mildly interesting they’re going with another backup big on a 2-way rather than a wing like Scrubb is.

So Brad’s going big after all (i wish we could have gotten Giles early on).  In any case, Knight apparently torched us a few years ago. He could be a nice project like Queta.

Didn't he have a big game against the Celtics?

Guess there’s a reason he played for 6 teams already plus didn’t make Celtics roster

I like the end of that clip, "and it is Knight-time here in Minneapolis..." lol
His stroke looks ok from 3, he is a big body.   Groom him to be the Grant Williams repacement?
He seems to have good hands, and a decent handle for a big guy.

Knight can play some backup center and power forward. 6’10” with 7’2” wingspan, improved 3 point shot, hits boards. He torched us in Dec 2021, actually outplayed Rob and Al that night.
