Here is some news:

Quote
According to the G League's official transaction page, Pinson's G League rights were traded (on Friday) from the Maine Celtics (G League affiliate of the Boston Celtics) to the Texas Legends (G League affiliate of the Mavs).

In the deal, the Maine Celtics will acquire the G League rights to Grant Riller and James Banks III (who both played for the Texas Legends last season).

James Banks III is interesting...

Does anyone remember the post about four months ago that linked a Reddit thread from a guy who did a breakdown of the Celtics' salary cap status?

It broke down all the upcoming contract extensions (like Jaylens) and showed how we could stay under the 2nd apron through certain moves or limiting our signings?

Anyone still have that link?

And has that gentleman updated his analysis?

EDIT:  I found it!  https://www.reddit.com/r/bostonceltics/comments/159ev9v/taking_a_look_at_the_celtics_cap_situation_after/

I'm the one who posted that. Funny enough, the guy who broke all of that down just posted a new one of these like two days ago. He admits that not knowing the extension amounts for Jrue/White makes it difficult to know the specifics, but it is updated. Here you go:

Two days ago?  Now that's a coincidence!

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

As it should be.  Can’t wait for opening night!

Agreed. Most talented team since the 2008 squad. If the C’s stay healthy, I can’t see anyone beating them.

That's dated Oct 17, is that for next Wed or was it for the Hornets game?

I know we've talked a bit about depth and rotation minutes on here. Dunc'd On podcast brought up a good point. They said that Holiday played more minutes in the Bucks rotation last year than Rob Williams and Malcolm Brogdon combined.

Thought that was an interesting way to look at it.

Happy to have him - he changes the offensive dynamics significantly. And… he stops the ball at the rim - his defense has looked solid.  He and Jrue are all I hoped and more.

Maybe just me but I find it so impressive that he speaks English so well. And then… switches seamlessly to Spanish (that was Spanish right?) which is also not his first language.

I think many people under appreciate Porzings’ defense. While he’s not as flashy as Rob was, he’s overall a better , smarter more effective defender
