At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

So glad Brad built that good bench

Totally agree  ;D. It's nice to have the 6th man of the year and a high flyer like Rob Williams riding the pine. Those guys start on most teams.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard can score in a hurry. He’s established himself as a punchy offensive weapon for the Celtics off the bench, and the former Oregon Duck can certainly light it up when given the chance. Over the weekend he reminded the basketball world of that scoring prowess, exploding for 61 points at the Ball Don’t Stop pro-am tournament in Vancouver, Canada.

Dubbed Canada’s “biggest pro-am,” Ball Don’t Stop has been inviting amateur and professional hoopers to its summer showcase games since 2016. Pritchard’s 61 points represents a record for the event, besting the likes of Jamal Crawford, Scottie Barnes, former Celtic Nate Robinson, and other familiar pros who have participated in years past. In fact, fellow Boston alum Isaiah Thomas played alongside Pritchard this weekend during his big outing.

You could do a lot worse than Payton Pritchard as your 4th guard.  I hope he will be satisfied with his role this season.  With Smart traded, it should be a better situation for him.  He should be used more like Hauser was last season.  Hauser played in 80 games/16 min per last season, Pritchard only 48 games/13 min per.  I know things are going to change some with Porzingis in the mix, less play with 3 guards, but I still expect to see more of Pritchard this season, more in the regular rotation consistently.

Per shams

Boston bringing in tj Warren and Lamar Stevens for workouts. One could possibly get signed.

If Warren is healthy, he makes too much sense for the bench.

Less interested in Stevens when we have Walsh. Would rather shoot for Oubre or someone with more scoring potential off the bench.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I’m not familiar with Lamar Stevens. Can anybody provide a brief scouting report?

TJ Warren is the sexier name for sure. Stevens seems to be the better defender though. I wouldn’t mind either.

They need a guy to bring offense off the bench but they need reliability all so. Tj can score but gets hurt often, Lamar is reliable but is a low-usage role player.

Since Brad hates vets who can play, it will be Stevens.

With Brissett & J Walsh, don't we already have two players who what Lamar Stevens does?

I see no role for him to fill here. He is not needed.

Pretty sure Warren is cooked physically. Those injuries really took a toll on him.
