Justin Champagnie officially waived. Two open roster spots.

I think this means there’s unlikely to be a(nother) major trade prior to camp, or at least one that adds much salary.  Champagnie would have only cost $50k to keep on as potential salary-filler in a deal, so the C’s must think that’s unlikely to be needed.

Interesting. Now i wanna see who are invited to training camp to fight for those 2 roster spots and 1 two way deal. As the poster above said, Justin being waived probably means that there will be no more trades at least before camp starts?

Think they keep a camp invite and keep a spot open.

Danilo Gallinari: 'I can't wait to play against Boston...I'll put an X on the games we will play at Boston'

Unfortunately, the 34-year-old was used as trade fodder, and he still has some hard feelings about it. On the Italian A Cresta Alta podcast, Gallinari revealed that he’s looking forward to exact revenge against the C’s next season. “I can’t wait to play against Boston,” he said. “When the schedule will be unveiled, I’ll put an X on the games we will play at Boston against the Celtics.”  – via Daniel Donabedian @ Clutch Points

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Poor Dano!  He seems like a good guy who can shoot the ball.  But, he was never much on defense.  Now at 34 y.o. and coming off a knee injury, he may be a defensive liability next year.  Bad luck for him.

He has cooked us previously, but I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

Old Man Horford will cross Danilo Gallinari up. That's his own fault for playing for his home country and blowing his ACL and now he project his anxieties onto the Celtics. C's should be the innocent and angered ones cuz they paid him to sit on the bench the whole year thanks to his injury that was not caused in the NBA. I'm sure nobody cared about Gallo in that Marcus Smart package for Porzingis.

I have no respect for that sorry. This is one reason why the C's lose playoff games- shorthanded esp if you're an impact player. Kemba Walker injury in the ASG and now Gallo's injury from international game. Wasting Tatum's precious years like that.

Really living up to the class expected of a Celtics fan by the broader NBA landscape by blaming a player for getting injured.

If Gallo didn't want to be traded, I guess he could have declined his option.  It's silly to hold a grudge against the Celtics.

He probably opted in thinking he wouldn’t be traded? It seems like he really wanted to be a Celtic.

Just so we're clear - we don't want any Celtics playing in the Olympics, international competition, or even the All-Star weekend festivities because they might get injured?

Should we force them into protective casings, Bubble Boy-style, when they're not on the court?

I can’t imagine he was given any assurances by the Celtics that he wouldn’t be traded if he opted in, other than a polite “we want you here.”

We probably shouldn’t let them play regular season games, just in case. Think of all the injuries we’d save!

I'm pretty sure Celtics Karma says he'll be hurt all season comeback to play us drop a 30 piece and its his only game he plays like an all-star the entire season.

Celtics will still win the game tho, as his turnstile defense contributes to a negative +/-, but everyone will still want him in place of whoever the last Celtics player to screw up in a late game situation was.
