An horrible game with guys far from their standards (Smart and Rob defensively, Horford and Grant offensively, Tatum in the second) but at least we maintained our grit and Jaylen is maybe getting better and better in this serie (he was the biggest concern on the 0-3 I guess, wit Mazzula decisions), which is the key.

Finally it is an historic game which lead to an historic serie if we win it. Derrick is now a bostonian for life. Last game, we surely will keep our grit, but Jimmy and Bam will give everything they have. We are favorite again and this is no good. Jays have to do it, show it is the Jays territory and destroy the Spoelstra zone time.
At least if we pass the Heat, medias and fans will doubt us against Denver (with stamina, up and downs, coaching) and as underdogs we will be able to give everything to the end.

I was reading the Denver Stiffs fan blog last night. They are incredibly confident, and even dismissive, of both the Celtics and Heat. Which I find funny. Yes, the C's have had bad moments in the playoffs. Yes, Miami punches above their weight class and probably shouldn't be where they are.

But Denver has faced no-one. Minnesota is the most pathetic franchise in basketball.

the Suns are a poor man's Celtics. KD and Booker are a lot like Tatum and Brown, but don't defend as well. And their supporting cast was very sketchy. Ayton is a dog, Paul is old, bench is thin. they are a lot like the Nets team that Boston swept last year. Thin and soft.

And the Lakers, while hot, still just barely made it into the playoffs and have a godawful supporting cast. Austin Reaves would be, what, our 8th-best player?

The Nuggets haven't really been tested.

Butler had no chance to make the 3 on al. He knew it so he launched himself into Al to get the foul. He was [dang] near horizontal

Butler was not able to be guarded the last 4 minutes because the refs bailed him out. 7 free throws in 2 minutes is just comical

THIS. That was not a natural form 3. I thought the NBA was trying to get rid of that. He jumped forward.  All of a sudden last 2 minutes he shoots 7 of his 11 free  throws. And a lot of the fouls were weak. Runs into Williams throws it up, foul. It's ridiculous.

On the tip in Tatum crashes the boards. Watch butler. He’s literally stands at the top of the key almost doesn’t move. Made no attempt to hold Tatum up.

He gets a lot of praise but I think he’s lazy.

And heat fans crying need to revisit the bucks series where they had a buzzer beater of their own.

For game 7:

-do not see Boston shooting that bad from 3. They had wide open looks.

-think bam is hurt (shoulder) and butler looks slow. His best offense is getting bailed out by the ref.

-need grant to show up. He was not good.

-Limit the turnovers

-keep playing good defense

-ride the crowd

-MAKE YOUR FTs

Yeah, Butler got bailed out on almost every play in the last two minutes. That last play where he lunged into Horford, he also lost the ball and double dribbled. It shouldn't even have been called a foul in a potential series winning play. If you're going to call a foul there, it was when Horford's arm got him in the forehead before the shot. Shame on the refs!

Heat fans all over Twitter complaining acting like the NBA rigged the ending putting more time on the clock, not understanding the rules or even admitting the missed double dribble.

Love it! Feed me your tears, Heat fans. They sustain me.

rewatching last 4 minutes

the announcers said we needed to get into our offense faster against the zone

but what stood out was we could not make a shot the last 2.5 minutes and we had some good chances

al missed a post up in the paint

white missed a runner

tatum mised a layup off the glass and a three

geeeez

we had a 7 point lead with 2.5 minutes left
\
and a 4 point lead with 53 seconds left

unreal how we could not close that out easier.

we are now up by 1 with smart going to the line foir 2 free throws after the duncan missed three and he mises the front end. this is what i mean making these in crunch time

make both and we are up three and all we have to do is defend 3 line and we win give them a 2 or a foul inside the line

nope we are only up 2 and we foul jimmy behind the 3 line. unreal how many times we had to finish this game off. yet needed a miracle.

When Butler hit the three and our offense had been reduced to getting free throws on the off chance the Heat got called for a ticky tack foul, I was getting a little concerned.

Definitely the most tense game in a long time.

One of the great moments in franchise history though, and that's saying something.

And Smart missing one of two free throws. Like. Why.

Smart really had a horrendous 4th quarter. He was choking like a dog, walking the ball up the court, not moving the ball the way a point guard should. He also lost Robinson on that big 3 pointer, and he lost someone else late for a layup.

He needs to stop slowing the pace with the lead. It really is mostly his fault, and i am sick of it. He's being dong this for years with no consequence, and the other players seem to follow his example.

You and me both. It's why we have to do it the hard way.

Channing Frye's reaction to White's game winning put back is priceless.

the Fouls they called for butler on their run to get the lead were just ridiculous.  I mean the Tatum clean block called a foul, Butler gets minimal contact from Horford, flails onto the ground gets the and 1. 6 free throw attempts in the last 2 minutes...

then the double dribble on the 3. I mean i get it probably was a foul on horford there but thats how you are going to send a team to the finals? on free throws EVERY time up the court and 3 to possibly win it?

i'm glad we ripped their hearts out with white

that is my beef also yet with even all that crap. duncan missed a three. we rebound up 1. IF smart makes both FT that is basically ballgame IF we defend 3 line. but he missed one opening the door for the butler fiasco. makes both FT and be up 3 and then just defend the 3 line give them a 2. who cares. again we shoulda never ever been in that situation. we missed a ton of shots down the stretch also.

Pray it's not Tony Brothers tomorrow, but I'm pretty confident it's Foster. Foster was also in Games 4 + 7 last year's ECF, and he was Game 4 this round too.
