It *might* just be because he simply doesn't put them in positions to succeed. You know, like completely changing a highly successful defensive identity from last year to focus on a completely erratic and unsustainable gameplan of just chucking threes and not focusing on the D.

Hard for the players to succeed when they're not given the tools or opportunity to succeed.

It took Ime half the season last year to get the players to buy into the system and it proved to be super-successful. Joe apologists will tell you that this season's team had a better record than last year's, but that is just stupid. First, because of what I just mentioned above, but also, this team came out red-hot after a Title run and has been sputtering ever since. It is like the opposite of last season and that really is on the coach...especially since we now have a more 'talented' team.

TP. This is much more reminiscent of the last Brad year than last year. Both examples of lost locker rooms and tuning out of the coach.

Well it’s safe to say we underestimated this Miami team. There’s probebly a reason they beat Milwaukee. Sure we’ve played bad but they had a lot to do with us playing bad. Our shooters pooped the bed though

Yea, it’s not just who has the most talent, it’s who can maximize it in pressure situations. Miami are making the most of their lesser talent, we definitely aren’t.

Honest question. The C’s had some double digit losses in last year’s postseason obviously. But were they ever destroyed this badly in any loss? Maybe Game 1 vs MIL where they were down 22 but lost by 11 due to garbage time points? Any others?

Joe predicated our offense on three point shooting. We were badly outclassed in that category this series. When the shots aren’t falling, plan B is to shoot more.

I thought they were one of the top defenses in the playoffs?

Uh, no lol We're close to dead last. When teams actually started playing hard, it's clear our whole season of deemphasizing the defense caught up to us.

Players need to take pride in defense

Even Smart’s defense dropped off this season

He and TimeLord getting hurt for a stretch didn’t help either

But we have the guys with size speed and skill to play all around great defense…for some reason it was never our main identity this year

Sure Miami could win the series, this something completely different though. This a complete failure by the C’s thrown in, they were fools gold. This season was pretty much meaningless.
