What a waste of a roster. Team has been too cute all season. Played around with teams. Now they aren’t mentally prepared or tough enough to fix it.

Been an issue all season

FIRE JOE AND WHOEVER ELSE

HIRE NICK NURSE

We should've hired Nurse the day he became available. Not to take over immediately but to takeover at the end of the season. Absolutely no reason to walk about from a brilliant coach like him for an unproven mediocrity like Mazzula.

PBS should have secured Nurse's signature immediately.

Most of the US is now rooting for Butler to win his first ring, and you can't even blame them.

Yeah, even I think that would be pretty beautiful. Jimmy deserves a ring. I love how he plays. I would also love to see MIA win after the way LeBron left them. Kept going, kept grinding, found their way back.

Still, I'd prefer Jokic to win even more so I'll be rooting for DEN over MIA if MIA do indeed beat BOS. But Jimmy getting a ring would be  nice consolation if Jokic loses.

As long as it's not the Lakers, I'm happy either way.

Oh man. Imagine they get #18 this year

Had a 13 point lead in Game 1. Had multiple double-digit leads in Game 2 including early in the 4th

And every single time, MIA made a run but also, Mazzulla didn't call timeout or waited until they tied it.

That's a fireable offense. It's not rocket science. Spoelstra meanwhile is calling timeouts beautifully and the Heat typically had great ATOs as well from them. Huge mismatch in that regard.

If Miami has a big lead in Game 3 and/or 4, you bet they'll hold it the entire game and keep a stranglehold on it.

I bet half the Celtics fans at this point are also rooting for Miami to go all the way.

Love how Joe moved away from running game through Tatum in the 4th- brilliant

He didn't actively move away from it. The better coached team adjusted and took it away. Joe is just futile at trying to counter the adjustment, per usual.

This is where your 2nd option should come into play. The opposition forces the ball out of your main guy's hands (strong side of ball), it swings to the weakside where your 2nd guy should get it and he should be the guy to make the play.

I mentioned this long ago about Shaq and Kobe. Teams would force it away from Shaq. Then Kobe had to take over. He had to be the playmaker. Not just the shot-maker but the playmaker. He had to be able to do both. That is why someone like Rashard Lewis (a shot maker but not a playmaker) was never a legit #2 for Dwight Howard in Orlando.

That is also why Jaylen often struggles as a #2 because he cannot be relied upon to be a playmaker. He is only a scorer. He is more like Rashard Lewis than he is Kobe Bryant.

Yep. He's a great individual scorer, and that's about it. Clueless with playmaking and isn't a good enough ball-handler or passer to do it anyways.

I do think we have to think hard about trading him for a better number two behind JT. If not, then we have to upgrade the point guard spot to have that better playmaker  to help Tatum out. Not sure who that would be, but you'll have to turn the three headed monster of Smart, White, and Brogdon into something better.

But not sure how willing Wyc is going to be to pay such a massive amount to such a limited player in JB.

To be fair does anyone think we would beat Denver? This team has too many mental lapses.

If we can't beat Miami we not gonna beat the nuggets who are a much better team.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing after watching DEN beat LAL last night. We are so much better than MIA that we should be able to get away with giving away stupid games and still win ... but we are not that much better than DEN. DEN are too good to expect to get away with such a lack of discipline.

Last night, I was expecting an ECF victory against MIA but a repeat of last year's finals against GSW against DEN.

I do not trust this team to beat DEN.

If I'm not mistaken, Jaylen Brown made 2nd team All NBA. Do you know why Miami can double team Tatum, it's because Jaylen becomes a ghost when it's crunch time. I swear, there are times that I don't realize he's on the court.

BTW, if Erik Spoelstra was coaching this team, Miami would still be up 2-0.

That is because Jaylen can't pass!

You only notice him when he is shooting because that is the only time he effects the game on offense. The rest of the time he is invisible.

And he is not even that efficient a scorer. He was league average in TS%.

Jaylen Brown is the biggest issue with this team. He is selfish, has no basketball iq and needs to go

Again we let some nobody cook us…Caleb Martin with 25 points a career playoff high
Earlier in 4th Q. I was looking at that and thinking "Man, MIA just wasted a 20+pts night from C Martin. They aren't going to get games like that from their supporting cast very often. They are going to lose this series. Teams with as little talent as MIA cannot afford to lose games when a role player gives them 20+pts off the bench". "They are going to lose series".

And that made sense ... but then they came back and won.

Hell no, I'll be rooting for Denver all the way. The Joker deserves it and Denver has never won a title.
