I think as usual the only way Miami wins this series is if Boston helps them.

I am concerned about game 1 because Boston is not a good team at home in the first game they play there. Lost to the Bucks, Heat, Sixers recently playoffs in their first game at home of the series.

Really worried about them being hung over after that Sixers game 7 and the Heat steal game 1

I see a split coming in Boston and might be in Game 1. C's are better on the road. Just no more being down 3-2 to come back and win in dramatic fashion lol

If Boston can get game one I think they leave for Miami up 2-0

But I am super concerned about game one.

Yeah.  I mean, if we can lose against Philly without Embiid, we can certainly lose to Miami.  Our players will see that #8 seed and will take them lightly.

And if we can lose at home against Hawks without Dejounte Murray then we can definitely lose to Miami

Brogdon just said AL had to tell the team to tighten up because they were a little loose in practice.

This team is infuriating. I'm glad I didn't get sucked into thinking they turned a corner on Sunday.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I am trying to figure out just what we are dealing with in this Miami team.  This team barely made the playoffs and couldn't win a play in game vs. Atlanta.  This team also beat MIL and NYC in playoff series, both pretty easily.

Vs. MIL, Giannis had a NRTG of -8.9 in the series as compared to a NRTG of +7.2 in the regular season.  That certainly would lead you to believe he was not 100%.  It is still surprising the Bucks looked as bad as they did.  Vs. NYK, the Heat settled in and outplayed them.  Were the better team.  To me the surprise was that Duncan Robinson (+10.1), Gabe Vincent (+10.7), and Cody Zeller (+30.3) had high NRTG values in that series, while really not shooting well (Zeller didn't play much).

I keep looking and looking and I can't find a reason to believe that MIA is as good as PHI or maybe even as good as ATL (at least how ATL played against us).  It appears to me that the Bucks cratered and the Knicks just weren't that good.  That said, Butler and Adebayo is a very respectable 1-2 punch.  Then they have a lot of scrappy decent shooters around them (even if they didn't shoot all that well vs. NYK).   One thing for sure, MIA is going to come in with confidence, nothing to lose.  They are going to scrap and fight for everything.  We better be ready for that.

Oh I never let my guard down on this team. A series in which they should close in 5 will either be a loss or a 7-game series. Starts with the coach, as always. Then the young'ins.

Game 1 just feels scripted for Miami to steal. Heat have won both game 1s on the road. Celtics feeling good and still living in the Sixers game 7 triumph. Now this coming out about being too loose in practice.

Feels like the Cs start very slow and dig themselves into a hole tomorrow night and just won't be able to recover to win game 1.

like i said. you will be pulling your hair out before this series is over. I am not sure why everyone thinks this will be a cakewalk.  Was in a hole and had TWO MUST WINS in a row against sixers like bucks last year.

i doubt they have learned  anything and it appears from practice they have not. Strap in. I expect the heat to bring it against us. it will be a physical grueling series.

No need to be surprised. These guys have been this way for 5 years now. I’m convinced there’s nothing that really motivates them. They’re gonna show up and play. Sometimes it’ll be good and sometimes it’ll be bad

you guys are so negative....you just made the quote sound alot worse than it actually was...

he said there was a "point in practice" where guys played loose an Al got them together to tell them to tighten it up. You make it seem like they had a poor practice and Al had to yell at them...

cmon guys be better than that.

The Celtics have been frustrating to watch at times. You can't deny that. I'm not saying we should overreact to this report, but we shouldn't sugarcoat it, either.

Did brogdon sound concerned to you? Was a throwaway comment this board is blowing out of proportion

Nah, feels like the C’s go up 2-0 then Game 4 decides if this is going to be a series or not.
