Since I dump on him a lot, I’ll give Joe some credit tonight.
They played tough defense, putting Brown on Harden worked, pretty good rotations. I liked that he got Grant into the game.
Tonight I don’t feel like they have to fire him right away, but I might change my mind after the next game

JB did a good job getting in Harden’s airspace and JB was fighting through major screens over and over again.

Good job by just about everyone. Tatum gets a pass. Rough night, foul trouble. Still win by 34. This is exactly what they needed.

I expect them to bring it from the tip on Friday. They know what they are capable of when they give their all vs taking it easy.

the C’s played better D tonight but embiid can definitely stagnate their offense, more so when he’s not 100%.

interestingly, his presence on defense actually helps facilitate the C’s offensive strategy.

an odd scenario for an mvp but the nba is a game of matchups.

Chuck and Shaq both saying maybe it would have been better to keep Joel out til game 3. Harden and Maxey couldn’t operate as they did in game 1 since Embiid had the ball.

Well unless his injury flares up that’ll be an issue for them the rest of this series. I also thought GWill did well on both ends and that adds a dynamic that didn’t exist in Game 1. Now if only Horford could show up and shoot better too

Yeah, all of Horfords 3's were wide open too. Embiid just can't get out on the 3 point line when they move the ball around.

He just needs to hit them...

You can say PHI did their job and took a game here and stole HCA

But the way this game unfolded still should make people happy. Defense was fantastic. A lot of the guys showed up. And we dominated them even with the MVP returning. Hell, Tatum was awful tonight and they still won by 30+. Probably not a good sign for PHI

Needed the win, and got it comfortably. Can’t complain  ;D

I dread the Game 3 letdown. We usually relax after a strong performance because we are so mentally weak.

Is Tatum ok ? He only played 19 minutes. Hoping they were resting him given the 2nd half margin.

This worries me. But we are on the road in a hostile environment. If we were up 2-0 I'd be more worried than 1-1 going to philly. And I can't picture philly beating us twice in a row.

I wonder how Embiid's knee will feel tomorrow.

Good win. Joe was asked after the game what thd difference was between tonight and game 1:

"We played harder."

Why yes, yes you did. Who woulda thought that good energy would lead to wins?
