As an off-shoot of the "coaching barely / rarely matter" argument:  what do you think of the Spoelstra extension?  8 years, $120 million.  That's about what the average NBA player makes.
coaches matter for setting the tone of the team, getting buy in from the players, helping create the chemistry,, etc. and for a handful of plays every game.  If the team buys into the coach and the coach is at least competent in the set pieces and rotations, then they don't affect the outcome of any particular game all that much.  The players are much more important to winning, which is why basically all but a couple of title since 1980 have been won by teams with a top 30 player all time (and many with 2 such players).  Player talent wins championships.

Sorry but he needs to go. Change the title back to "Fire Joe!" lol

All these wins were more with him riding on JT's and Kristaps' coattails. This guy can't coach to save his life.

Joe, why didn’t you tell JB to play better. How did you let him get only 13pts and miss those crucial free throws! Idiot!  :o

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

If only the team knew how to play offense when threes aren't falling.

Dever wanted us to shoot 3's. Joe, because he has no other offense other than that, fell for it.

It's 1 game, but the way we lost was just like last year. I see no change.

Al passed out of a couple bunnies and so did PP.
We're giving up layups for 3's. That's coaching.

Guy is clueless.

Joe, why are you having guys pass out of easy layups for 3?
Why are you unable to attack the rim when the other team has no.protector.

This roster is too.good to be live/die by the 3, yet your boy can't figure that out.

I mean we know Joe isn't great as a coach, but JT/JB need to police themselves a bit with the 3s.  They know they are ice cold from 3, they can choose what they do with the ball.  Yes it would be nice to have a coach to reinforce that, but we don't.  JT/JB gotta coach themselves up a bit at this point.

There was a lot of quiet on Joe a few weeks ago. Some praise as well. Why was that?  I don’t like the loss but it was a 2-point loss to the champs and Cs first loss in 21 home games.  I haven’t liked the three reliance all year (or in previous years).  But this team is good and they play well together and it is absolutely not looking like last year’s team.  Oh, and they have the best record in the NBA.

Did this loss not feel exactly like the playoffs last year.
We are going to be dared to shoot 3's I can't see how it ends differently.

Look how confused these guys look in key possessions..that's coaching and having 0 clue how to utilize his talent.

Sure, a high 50 or 60-win team can get you to NBA Finals.

But winning NBA Finals is another story. The 73-9 Warriors couldn't do it.

You need a balanced offense/defense. This team is just trigger-happy from 3 and if it ain't falling then they're flailing. They need to start posting up and take 2's more. Mix it up.

To be so arrogant and oblivious of your own weaknesses when you have achieved so little when given so much. What a dogmatic, arrogant loser.

Can't wait for the day this guy is out of here. Lucked into a head coaching job that he clearly wasn't ready or prepared for all due to an affair by a much better coach, yet he has the audacity to say stuff like this when his offensive philosophy lost us this game.

So Joe is getting pink slipped in the morning for his incompetence?

And Kristaps is smiling and laughing in his post game interview...how dare he be smiling when the rest of us are feeling so bad after this loss?? Ship him out too! >:(

This guy trying to be Belichick? He hasn't earned anything to be arrogant. Washburn is right, we need to shoot more layups. Attack the rim.

Boston has a big lineup problem.  Boston simply can't defend Jokic.

The entire league has a Jokic problem. He’s the best player in the NBA
