2nd roe Joe doesn't think about defense, they badly need a Vogel or similar on the bench. He is a Homeless guy's D'antoni

He has done an immensely better job these last couple of games. Doesn't let momentum swing, yanks guys if they're making costly errors with frequency, has run better plays for interior looks / foul drawing. Props

Yeah.  He hasn't been perfect, but he doesn't look completely in over his head.

Wow.  That last three seconds was called "winning in spite of Joe", haha.

First he challenges a clear foul that was called a 2PT shot.  Under review, the Heat get three FTs.

Then, the ATO call to Smart was terrible, and predictably he missed.

Thank God for White.  Holy holy.

So can we assume his challenge on Horford's foul is what got them 3 free throws or would that have occurred/been reviewed by the refs regardless?

Surely it would have happened regardless, right?

I mean, we should have challenged the call where Tatum blocked Butler but was called for a foul.  That would have saved 2 points.

We still don't know how to figure out a zone.  We're playing way too slowly and not executing properly.  Terrible play down the stretch.

Agreed the ATO was awful.  White saved Joe's skin.

Wouldn't the refs have reviewed it anyways to see if it was a 2 or 3?  The challenge was just used because he had it, and was going to call a timeout anyways.

I would guess Tatum was option A, but Struss went to double him (though didn't look like a particularly good play to set up Tatum.).

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I'm still high as a kite over this....

But they will never have a 10 pt lead with 4 minutes to go and stay aggressive, will they
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I’m pretty sure they would have looked at the Butler foul anyway, so I don’t have a problem with the challenge.
That said, they again couldn’t close out a game. Robinson hits one of those wide open 3’s and we’re having a whole different conversation

JB and Smart kept leaving him wide open. Was infuriating.
