Rightfully so.
They just lost a game to the “garbage” hawks and “overrated” Trae young when they had a double digit lead halfway through the 4th quarter.

Literally painful. You’re okay with it?

I’m OK with them not winning every game as long as they win the series.

In the grand scheme of things I don’t expect them to win every game either, but the history of crumbling in big games in the biggest moments in games they’re heavily favored and have no business losing is becoming increasingly painful to watch, glad you’re fine with it though

Sounds like you do expect them to win every game. You just said they have no business losing games that they are heavily favored. C’s are heavily favored in every game of this series against the Hawks.

Right. And they have  now lost 2 games in a playoff series they’re heavily favored in after literally just talking a big game about learning from last years series being extended too long.
Game 3 loss was somewhat expected. But this? Embarrassing

agreed, they never learn. we shoulda finished the bucks and heat in 6 or less last year. but they have had these huge mentally weak letdowns for at least a half a dozen years now if not longer.  i ned to look back at the years we drafted smart, JB then tatum. by now they have been playing together for ever with multiple ECFS and a Finals. this screams coaching. or does it? Joe seems checked out versus IME as far as defense. dumb dumb dumb playing and coaching. groundhog day

Coach of the year, Mike Brown or Championship winning coach, Ty Lue?   ;D

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Joe Mazzulla said he thought the Celtics lost some of their pace down the stretch. He thought that allowed the Hawks to pressure them and get in the passing lanes.

No crap. Yet you sat there and watched it happen without doing anything about it. You let Tatum continuously walk the ball up the floor and not even engage in any action until like ten seconds left in the game.

This team is the definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Joe seems good at recognizing the problem after the game is over.

Not so much at recognizing and reacting to it during the game.

Good at recognizing the problem ?

His answer to losses every time is, " We didn't shoot enough 3's".

Actually he says the same thing when they win.

Basically, if the C's lose this game AT HOME without D. Murray then this team is in trouble in the sense that it's all mental.

There is zero excuses losing this game. I want a 35-point blowout win.

There is no excuse to losing to ATL without Murray.
There is no excuse to losing to ATL with Murray.

Either way, they are a thoroughly mediocre team that should have no hope of beating BOS if BOS plays reasonably. Not even well. Just at a reasonable level.

Yaaaaah about that. I know pregame was different, now we know where the C's stand after this game.

Same situation as last year.  They’ll win the series and advance.  But their lapses are going to put so much more unnecessary wear and tear (and stress) on themselves.  They just can’t seem to kick the habit of handling prosperity well.  Disappointing - especially given the Embiid situation.

Gotta find a way to win that game.

Uggh.

Onward and upward…

Won’t mean a thing if they string up a banner.
Yup

Yep.  Only NBA game on the schedule, so they're trying to maximize the nationwide TV audience.
