NBA Playoffs 2023

Was listening to Bill Simmons podcast today with Brian Windhorst. They were talking about this potentially being the last playoff run of the Warriors Big 3 era with Green's impending free agency and desire for a big contract.

I think they may be right. If this series continues down the path that it's looking, it's hard to continue to have - if not increase - such a major payroll for a first round exit team that is only getting older in a Western Conference that is only going to get better.

I could see them letting Green walk this summer and not paying him sans another deep playoff run, particularly a first round exit.

If they go up 2-0 in this series I may have to change my prediction lol. How sweet would it be too if they beat the Lakers next round (revenge for 2002)

How can they let Draymond go?

They can't compete without Draymond. He is too important to them. They can't replace him. They have no interior defense without him. They are soft on the boards. They are soft physically. Somewhat soft mentally.

They have to keep him if they want to keep competing while Steph is there.

Originally I didn’t think so, but if they play like this and assuming they win this series against Golden State I might pick them. They play at a fast pace, score a lot AND have the size to combat Lebron/AD and company. Plus I think HCA could be a bigger factor than Memphis

Draymond was the Celtics' public enemy #1 after his shenanigans last year. Hope he gets the hostile treatment by the Kings.
