I'm hoping Josh Richardson gets bought out and wants to rejoin the Celts.

Same here. Would be an absolute dream fit, and he could potentially even earn some small playoff minutes when one of the Jays sits.

Keep trying to speak it into existence.  It would be a coup.

Brooklyn have a pretty solid team post trade.

G: Dinwiddie, Watanabe, P Mills
G: Joe Haris, Cam Thomas, Seth Curry
F: Mikal Bridges, R O'Neale
F: B Simmons, Finney Smith
C: N Claxton

That is a solid .500 team. Strong defensive team. Some passing, some shooting, good rebounding.

I forgot to put Cam Johnson on this team. I wonder if they will start him instead of Joe Harris and slide Mikal Bridges back to SG. Bridges is quick enough to defend SGs.

G: Dinwiddie, Watanabe, P Mills
G: Mikal Bridges, Cam Thomas, Seth Curry
F: Cam Johnson, Joe Haris, R O'Neale
F: B Simmons, Finney Smith
C: N Claxton

A nice three man perimeter corps with Dinwiddie, M Bridges and Cam Johnson on offense. Ben Simmons at PF.

The Ben Simmons Conundrum

They'll have an even nicer lineup with Ben Simmons out injured. They can play Cam Johnson at PF and spread out the court.

G: Dinwiddie, Watanabe, P Mills
G: Joe Haris, Cam Thomas, Seth Curry
F: Mikal Bridges,  R O'Neale
F: Cam Johnson, Finney Smith, B Simmons
C: N Claxton

A few nice options on who to start at SG. Joe Harris gives them a wing with good size who is a knockdown shooter. Seth Curry a combo guard who is a knockdown shooter. Cam Thomas a shot creator combo guard. Cam Thomas would give them four creators alongside Claxton at center. Or J Harris / S Curry as an off ball weapon while the other three guys run the offense.

That is a pretty darn good team. Better without Ben Simmons I believe.

Would they drop him from the starting lineup? The rotation? Try and trade him in the summer? Or maybe just use him as the backup center when Nic Claxton rests? I like that option.

G: Dinwiddie, Watanabe, P Mills
G: Joe Haris, Cam Thomas, Seth Curry
F: Mikal Bridges,  R O'Neale
F: Cam Johnson, Finney Smith
C: N Claxton, B Simmons

That is such a dynamic basketball team. That is a 45-50 win team.

MIL getting Crowder is a nice pick up for them.  5 seconds though and Nwora, wow.  Let's see if Crowder is more productive than Muscala.  He should be but it is not a given with him not having played all season.  We got our guy for Jackson and 2 picks.

Same. That would be ideal for sure.

I got Brooklyn 6th best team in the East.

The main four at the top being BOS, MIL, PHI and CLE. Then I have Toronto as 5, Brooklyn 6 and Miami 7. Not sure about the order of the next few teams.

Have to say I am finding it amusing that it seems teams are just trading second round picks left and right so far

Legit there’s probably been 20 2nd round picks that have been moved/traded in the last 24 hours

So Milwaukee now have:

G: Jrue Holiday, J Carter
G: Grayson Allen, Pat Connaughton
F: Middleton, Ingles
F: Giannis, Crowder
C: B Lopez, B Portis

That is a nice team. Crowder gives that bench a good boost.
Is he actually going to play? The reason why he sat out in Phoenix was because he wasn’t starting. He isn’t going to start on the Bucks either.

This trade deadline reminds me of 2008 when the whole balance of power shifted around at the deadline as teams chased the Celtics Big Three.

Dallas traded for J Kidd.
Phoenix traded Marion for Shaq.
LAL got Pau Gasol.

Smaller good moves with SAS getting Kurt Thomas.

All chasing Boston.
