According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers have traded Thomas Bryant to the Nuggets in exchange for Davon Reed and three second-round picks.

With DeAndre Jordan largely out of the rotation when the Nuggets have been healthy, there was a need to upgrade the backup center position. Acquiring Bryant does that, although it does torpedo his fantasy value due to the presence of two-time MVP Nikola Jokic. Bryant's providing 10th-round, per-game value in 9-cat formats is nothing to scoff at. But that was with an average of 21.3 minutes per game; he won't play as much in Denver.

Crowder was always linked to the Bucks. Who is Milwaukee sending to match salaries though?

Jordan Nwora

Great get for Denver.

Not sure what the heck LA does that for when trying to compete this year. Wasn’t Bryant doing well for them, particularly with AD’s injury concerns?

Surely they don’t view Vanderbilt or Rui as legit bigs for them, right? They’re both stretch 4’s at best.

Vanderbilt is absolutely not a stretch 4.

Will be interesting to see if we try and add a wing, too. I know Barton has been connected heavily to us, so maybe that’s the plan. Otherwise, do we go with Snell as a 3 and D 10 - 15 minutes a game guy, particularly while JB is out? Wouldn’t be too bad. Still unsure how he’s in the G League now.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Pacers have waived Goga Bitadze.

This action was necessary due to the Pacers' involvement in a three-team trade with the Bucks and Nets. Indiana will receive Jordan Nwora and two second-round picks, hence the need to free up a roster spot. Bitadze wasn't in the rotation most nights, so his exit will not impact fantasy basketball.

Maybe the lakers have another trade in the works and need the picks?

They have Gabriel who has had some stretches of solid play. Maybe Lebron will play small ball 5 at times.

Yeah, certainly not in the shooting perspective. But more in the sense of a PF/SF combo given size. I don’t think he’s someone you can legitimately play at the 5 for any significant stretch.

I hope Barton gets bought out and we nab him

Looks like the Bucks are getting Crowder. Good pickup for them. Would have been a nice fit here, assuming he'd have accepted his role.

Warriors and Pistons are currently talking about a trade possibly involving Wiseman, and Bey. Obviously others as well but that could be the main framework with Bey to Golden State, Wiseman to DET

Bryant is no world beater, but he’s substantially better than Gabriel haha

They technically have no true 5’s now, with everyone being a natural 4 or swing.
