Just embarrassing. From up 15 to down 3 right before halftime

Also Quickley who averages 11 PPG suddenly has 15 in the 1st half today and looks like Curry...  ::)

Why is JT wearing that Kobe armband?

Today's the 3rd anniversary of Kobe and Gianna's passing.

So we're now having Timelord and the bigs play drop coverage AND not covering the lane when they drive, expecting the screened man to do all the work? That's exactly what just happened with Brunson's PnR. You can't do a deep drop and expect the screened man to catch up. If you're not switching you have to freaking hedge on them. There's no point in the drop coverage if you're not stopping the lane, too.

Like, what's going on here? Either Timelord is misplaying that, or that's the literal scheme. Either way, it has to be addressed, coaching staff.

Is it just me or is Rob being under utilized by Joe on both ends? Gone are the easy lobs and ferocious shot blocking.
Half the time he is guarding on the perimeter. I don't see him in the defensive roaming role he was in last year all that much.

Why, All Joe is going to tell them during halftime is how much he likes the flow of the game and that their shots will start falling soon.

have to admit I'm puzzled by it.  we have the mobile bigs to not have to play drop coverage yet that's what we're doing and getting picked apart because of it.  no stopping the man with the ball from driving into the lane.

Exactly! Isn’t the drop coverage supposed to entice the opposing team to take mid range jumpers and prevent any drive to the hoop with Rob (or whover big) protecting the rim?

It makes zero sense whatsoever, and it's so frustrating. Like not only are you giving up the shot off the screen, but you're also going to give up the lane? I'm baffled.

Joe clearly isn't on the same tier as Ime defensively. As others have said, it looks like his scheme has severely limited Timelord's ability to protect the rim unlike last year.

love the half time crew-- "C's have the lead but we're going to focus on the Knicks".   perfectly sums up why I hate national broadcasts

Don't like our team defensively this season.  We have a lot of guys who are not playing up to their reputations.

Feel like Derrick White is the only guy who is as advertised at that end this year.
