Don't like our team defensively this season.  We have a lot of guys who are not playing up to their reputations.

Feel like Derrick White is the only guy who is as advertised at that end this year.

With our personnel we should easily be a top 5 defense in the NBA.  That we're not shows that something is wrong with our coaching staff, the players, or both.

I think they are 7th going into this game.

Well, I mean we're at 7 for defensive efficiency, and I do expect us to get better the longer we have Timelord back and healthy.

But, yeah, we're not anywhere near the defense we were last year. Some of it is the faster pace and even more perimeter play this year, but a lot of it has to do with scheme, too.

no stats to back this up but transition d looks much worse this year vs. last. seems to be a hustle issue rather than scheme.

Settling for long jumpers.  Shouldn't be surprised though.

Rob doesn’t have his pre-injury lift. Sims went right over him for that put back.

God, I truly despise this offensive philosophy of extreme three point shooting.

Our interior defense is not that good, Rob just doesn’t have earlier explosion. Hope he can get it back.

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of evidence suggesting this. Not nearly as explosive as last year. Hopefully it's a conditioning thing and he's working his way back until he's more comfortable. But I don't know.

Good things happen when you go to the rim.

the angle in which the rebound came off the rim gave sims the positional advantage on that board. he has seriously quick hops, too, so i wouldn’t read much into that one play. kudos to sims for the hustle.

It's either coaching or lack of focus.  team launches a 3 for a miss and long rebound.  instead of a defender being designated as the 'safety' to guard against the other team getting out for a fastbreak basket, the C's players are all standing around until the other team grabs the rebound and starts their fast break.

When Thibs was here, he preached a full retreat (at least by the guards) once the shot went up to eliminate any fast breaks by the other team.  the lack of offensive rebounds was frustrating at the time but we didn't give up fast breaks like we do currently
