This entire Celtics team needs to take lessons from Malcolm Brogdon on how to play smart basketball.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

DeRozan really has a grudge against Joe.

That isn't the philosophy. For better or worse.

I hate his rotations tonight. Brogdon with 10 less minutes than Al and 8 less than Smart, despite both those guys playing poorly

We have to get stops and deal with mismatches with Vuc. There’s no other way around it

Idiotic, especially to the extreme he takes it. I'm fine with that kind of philosophy in small doses, but he literally lets 10-, 12-, 14-0 runs go unanswered at times. Just borderline dogmatic about it.

And right on cue, Donovan calls a good timeout sensing the impending run. He also made a great management decision to get Vuc and Derozan back in there earlier than their normal rotation, which stopped the earlier fourth quarter run. That's a seasoned coach deviating from a gameplan by responding to what's actually happening.

They've let a TON of travels go with Chicago that they've been calling this year. Lavine just got away with one before the made three.
