Think they do the same thing they did with Smart. Let him hit FA and see what is out there. If someone throws crazy money at him, let him walk. If he signs for something reasonable, then great. I would not overextend to sign this guy.
I appreciate his hard work in improving his game but he has significant limitations and honestly think Cs could find a swing player elsewhere for a cheaper price. He’s good shooting the 3 but can’t really defend, rebound, or pass very well.
Ownership has already shown and unwillingness to overspend (letting TPE expire) so I don’t think they are going to throw the bag at him if he wants anything more than like $10 mil.
