I mean, he's out of the league and no team has picked him up.  When he was in the league, he was blah at best.

Besides, I don't think we have a bigs problem.

"Blah at best"?

He's not a superstar, but he has always been a very good defender and good rebounder.

I would take him. But I guess I care less than I did a few months ago.

So why is he out of the league?  The way I see it, he's not a significant upgrade, if he's one at all compared to what we have.

For all we know he’s out of the league by choice right now, waiting for his chosen opportunity.

The “nobody signed him” argument is lazy and assumes that GMs don’t make mistakes.  Biyombo wasn’t signed until January last season.  There are plenty of other guys who sign during the season.

Sure.  Why don't we wait for the bidding war to end to see where he ends up.  He was cut from his last team.  I mean, I'm sure he's as good as any number of guys at the end of the bench on NBA rosters.  Most of those guys are interchangeable anyway.  But I don't see him as a guy waiting out just the opportunity to get minutes on a contender.

And like I say, Cornett has done very well.  I'm convinced he's a good defender more than ever.  Bothers shots at the rim and moves his feet remarkably well on switches.  We don't need someone on the street unless there is another injury.

Is it too soon to poke fun at this (and other threads)? For two years in a row, impatient fans freak out prematurely . We didn’t even have to wait for Thanksgiving to see such unchecked anxiety, despite an 11-3 record.

It's still an indefensible decision.  Just because the team has been able to play through the mistake doesn't mean it wasn't a mistake.

ESPN has them at #1 today. Instead, let’s focus on how “broken” and “poorly constructed” this team is.

I'm not sure if you're being intentionally obtuse here or not, but just because a team is playing well doesn't mean it's flawless.  Teams -- or people, or entities -- overcome / play through flaws all the time.  It doesn't mean that those flaws should be overlooked and left unaddressed.

This seems rather obvious to me.

Is it time to start gloating about the Derrick White trade yet? Or are we still in the indefensible decision stage with that one?

Aside from one particular poster, I don't think there are many on here who disliked Derrick White, or thought he wasn't worth Josh Richardson and a 1st.  It's the risk factor of adding swap rights far into the future that seemed unnecessary.

I’m writing to those that were exaggerating how bad things were. Two years in a row people freak out.

If you’re Jaylen Brown and know that your city freaks out a lot, why would you stay? I’d be off to warm weather with measured fans.

By the looks of things, all we have to do is tell Jaylen Boston fans are antisemitic - he'll be rushing to defend them then.
