Watching the Nets get hot from deep makes me nervous. Dinwiddie with 16 dimes too

The Nets are suddenly a fun and likable team now lol especially since Kyrie left. I don’t think they are too far off from contending. Lot of picks and young players and some cap space. If they can find a way to land a star this off-season to pair with Bridges I think they can contend. Their bench looks a lot better now too

2 problems.  They still have 2 years of Simmons bad contract on the books.  The top 2 free agents this offseason are probably Harden and Kyrie.

Chicago is in the play-in right now.  5 games under .500.  Bad team.  They really shouldn't have any shot at knocking out a more deserving team.  Toronto in 9th is only a half game better. 

I'd really like to see some sort of adjustment to the play-in tournament.  Perhaps make it so 9th and/or 10th have to be within a certain amount of games of 7th and 8th or there is no play-in and with a certain record threshold.  So maybe 10 has to be within 4 games of 7 and 9 has to be within 3 games of 8 or something like that.  And even if they are within the game threshold they have to be at least 38-44 or something like that.  I don't want to see a 34 win team knock out a 44 win team because they got lucky in 1 game.  If 10 isn't good enough, but 9 is, then you just have 8 v. 9.  If 8 wins it advances.  If 9 wins, it has to beat 8 again.  Both games on 8's floor.

Some team will. I feel like we say this all the time with contracts and trades yet they happen anyways. Like people think Simmons is stuck in BKN but watch, somehow a team will bite and BKN will deal him away this off-season

People thought the Lakers were trapped with Westbrook yet they got much better from trading him lol with legit pieces

I generally agree with you. All the untradable contracts have mostly ended up being moved. I do think there are contracts that are harder and do take legit assets to move and simmons and duncan Robinson are the two worst right now because they have extra years. Charlotte definitely wanted to move hayward last two years and were unable to.
