I know the stats may say otherwise, but Jokic really is just a turnstile on defense. I'm watching some of this Nets-Nuggets game and even some Nets players are just running by Jokic or scoring on him with practically no resistance. But this has been true of Jokic for a while. We criticize Rockets' Harden during those prime years for not playing defense but Jokic is worse IMO

He definitely does a lot of other things at an elite level. Defense ain't close though
Just an absurd statement. Don’t expect serious engagement with hyperbolic bait like that

That's fine. Again, I'm probably dead wrong. I'm simply basing it off my own eye test. Jokic is probably going to win MVP anyways. Denver's still my pick to reach the Finals. I just think his defense is extremely overrated and non-existent (in my opinion)

Overrated by who exactly? I seem to be the only one over the last few pages who defends his defence as even average.

Options 1 and 3 are of absolutely no value for any good basketball discussion, and I don't use Reddit

I'm not sure I can recall a season with more contentious MVP debate than this season.

Yeah I agree with that lol, even though I use Reddit often and IG. Facebook I still have/use but rarely now, though I don't think many people use FB anymore anyways.

I hate to sound like I'm bashing the Joker, I love watching him play and he's an awesome player. But I do think at times he doesn't even try on defense at all. But he somehow gets a pass for it whereas others will get heavily scrutinized even if they make 1 or 2 bad defensive plays

I think it's Embiid. But it seems like Jokic will win it.

I do think it's between those two though. Doncic's team is .500, and Giannis has missed a handful of games this season

Jpotter can jump for joy. Nuggets lost

(That was an awesome game though and finish. Jokic with the monster statline too of 35/21/11)

I’ve literally been sick and in bed sleeping all day, but woke up just in time to see that and it Najee me feel completely better! Haha

Full game up in the loss column over the Nuggets now, and they’ve got a super difficult road trip coming up.

I think this is big, because you certainly don’t want to be playing a game 7 in Denver at that altitude.

Watching the Nets get hot from deep makes me nervous. Dinwiddie with 16 dimes too

The Nets are suddenly a fun and likable team now lol especially since Kyrie left. I don’t think they are too far off from contending. Lot of picks and young players and some cap space. If they can find a way to land a star this off-season to pair with Bridges I think they can contend. Their bench looks a lot better now too

+ Vaughn seems to connect a lot better with their guys than Nash did. Of the lower Eastern playoff contenders, I don't want to come up against them. Lots of athletic wing defenders in Bridges, DFS, O'Neale & Johnson.

Watching the Wizards broadcast and they call Beal, Kuzma & Porzingis a "big 3" ;D

They also keep trying to draw comparisons between Porzingis and Embiid, as if they're even close to equivalent

Yeah I hope we don't play BKN or MIA first round. Sadly though if we're the 2 seed we're 90%+ likely to play either, unless someone gets upset in the play-in tourney
