Clippers are already showing how to expose and take advantage of Jokic defensively. He's been caught ball watching and being too slow to get out to the perimeter several times already, leading to threes.

Can't wait to watch teams gameplan against this with Denver.

Potter I love your nba takes generally, but what in the world are you talking about? Clippers got dominated and are down thirteen after one? What have the clippers figured out

Jokic absolutely destroying the clippers right now. I’ve had more than my share of bad takes and maybe the clippers come back and win this. But jokic is absolutely dominating them right and saying they figured him out was wild.

I was talking exclusively about defense, nothing offensive. He's been abused on multiple different mismatches, as he's simply too slow and lacks lateral movement to guard many guys outside the paint.

I think we'll see in the playoffs this really exposed.

I hear ya. I can’t say I specifically noticed the switches.

LAC/Denver headed to OT, with PG hitting a halfcourt shot a bit late just like Embiid last night haha

Really enjoying the increased level of play post ASB. Lots of really competitive, close games the last several days.

Every single one of today’s nationally-televised games was great, even though most of them didn’t end the way I hoped.  Crazy to think the 71-piece and Trae’s game-winner weren’t even part of that list.  Just a terrific basketball day.

Of course right after Lillard put up 71 points, he immediately gets summoned for a drug test lol

Wow, Jokic with 40pts on a ridiculous 14-21 FGA and 12-15 FTA along with 17 rebounds and 10 assists. That is insane production and efficiency.

3 steals for good measure as well.

To me this is the most wild stat about Jokic's season:

Quote
Per ESPN: Jokic ties the record for most consecutive games shooting at least 50%, joining Robert Williams at 48 straight games.

It's impressive enough for Rob to have part of that record, but he's scoring mostly on lobs, layups and put-backs.  Jokic has an all-around offensive game, and he's barely missing.

That's incredible. It doesn't even make sense that he has been able to do that with all the long shots, midrange shots and difficult shots he takes. And with that volume of shots too.

I don’t think the Suns would make that trade. It would ruin them defensively. Phoenix has the best defense in the western conference. Will be really interesting to see what Cuban offers Kyrie over the summer.
