At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I don't think this is going to work for Dallas. Their frontcourt is non-existent (guys like AD, Jokic, etc. will kill them) but also, it's becoming clear that in these late minute situations they have no clue who to run it through and who to let shoot the ball. That turnover on the Kyrie inbound to Luka kind of summed it up

Anyways, that was an awesome weekend of basketball. Lot of close games. Intense finishes. Shaping up to be an awesome March and April as we get closer to the playoffs  :)

Yeah, Mavs gambled and it looks like they lost. Clippers vs Nuggets game on ESPN tonight should be good, too.

Yes. He’s awful as well and says incredibly stupid things. Doris talks incessantly throughout the game, so she’s worse. Imo. Both shouldn’t be on the air.

Lotta prime-time games today I noticed.

Besides Suns/Bucks and Lakers/Mavs, there's also Wolves/Warriors later followed by Clippers/Nuggets

Agreed

Kevin McHale was the best when he was doing color. He was funny and really knew the game.

I like Doris. But Mark Jackson is just brutal. The funny thing is, I think even his partners (Breen and JVG) also think he's an idiot. There's moments where he'll say something so ridiculous that even the others clown him for it, but then in a cringeworthy effort Jackson seems to double down on what he said to act smart  ::)

Lakers up to 11th and just 2.5 games behind the 6th seed Mavs.  They are a much better team after all the moves and DLo didn't even play (and they were 6 of 34 from 3).  Bad loss from the Mavs given the big lead they had.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Wow, the Mavs lost that? Wow. It was 53-27 when I checked the score in the second quarter. Looked like a blowout.

I don't like the way Kidd is using the roster. He is playing small with only one big man. He should play two bigs. He has two incredible offensive players in Kyrie & Luka. Their ability to score allows them to play two bigs without compromising the offense. Let them do that. Give them more help on D and on the boards.

Play Christian Wood exclusively at PF. Keep one of Dwight Powell or JaVale McGee on the floor at all times to play alongside him. Give them twin shot-blockers.

Kidd is playing too small. Go bigger.

StatMuse: Luka and Kyrie are 1-3 as a duo. Their only win came against the Spurs, who have lost 16 straight games. pic.twitter.com/hG4ingP5Tz – via Twitter statmuse

Mavs’ lack of paint presence is a fatal flaw.

Yeah I kind of assumed they would be better trading four quarters for a dollar but it doesn’t appear it works
