And clippers gotta waive Moses Brown…wouldn’t mind see Celtics taking a chance on him..

Why do they have to waive Brown?  He’s on a 2-way and not taking up space for a buyout.

Also, there is zero reason for the Celtics to bring in Moses Brown.

I thought he was waived. Something about having played 50 games. Not sure the Celtics will be interested in any case but I think he was waived.

He was Zubac’s primary and lone backup, so they used him regularly. Now they have Plumlee, so it seems the plan worked out. I think some expected us to use Kabengele similarly, while Rob was gone, but he didn’t crack the rotation. I think Brown has more potential than Kabengele, but I doubt that either he or the C’s are interested in a reunion.

The CBA doesn't say anything about it (in fact, it doesn't mention buyouts at all -- a buyout is a technique, not a rule). That said, it wouldn't be allowed. They can't control what the player does or doesn't do post-waiver. Or if you think about it another way, a buyout is a...

2/...contract amendment followed by a waiver. If they amend the contract to say where the player can't sign and then terminate the contract, they've implicitly terminated the stipulation about where the player can't sign. Such a stipulation couldn't...

3/...survive a waiver in the first place. And THAT said, the CBA doesn't document what teams CAN'T do, it documents what they CAN do. There's nothing in the CBA that says they CAN add a stipulation like that.

The Chicago Bulls have been without guard Lonzo Ball for over a year and, according to a recent report, that's not likely to change anytime soon.

Last week, Bulls vice president Arturas Karnisovas said that Ball has been "making small improvements" and his status would be updated following the All-Star break. On Friday, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reportedly called it "foregone conclusion" that Ball's injury will keep him out for the entire 2022-23 season.

On the "Bulls Talk Pod" episode, Johnson added that Ball is still unable to run or cut.

Giannis injured his hand...yikes.

I wonder if it’ll keep him out of the ASG?

It would be insane if he didn’t. I get these guys like palling around with each other. But if your team has any remote chance of a championship don’t suit up. Stay home and rest. Especially if you are a player like Gianni’s, Embid or Lebron that have had or will do this over ten times. It’s insane to me these guys would even consider playing and not healing for their teams.

Embiid has already talked about possibly skipping it due to a sore foot.  Being selected is what is important.  Once a player has participated a couple of times, I don't see the draw/value for doing so anymore.

Yeah I saw that, and good for him, but he probably learned his lesson from playing a few years back when he absolutely shouldn’t have and ended up missing a big chunk of the second half after (he didn’t specifically reinjure his knee in the game but think it was pretty widely accepted he should have just taken the time off and rested. Let’s see what Giannis and Lebron do. Lebron has obviously missed 5 of the last 6 games and says he has been in excruciating pain all season. Would be pretty absurd if he played.
