How is Dallas going to acquire Davis.  They have no good players they can trade and no high end draft capital.  And the Lakers can basically just sign Irving so a sign and trade doesn't make sense.

I wouldn't be all that surprised to see LA move on from Davis this summer, but Dallas would be way down the list of teams that could reasonably acquire him.

The obvious answer is a Kyrie sign-and-trade.
The Lakers don't need to do that though.  They can sign Kyrie to close to a max without trading AD.

Lakers are much better off shipping AD somewhere else to get actual and real assets for him, and then just signing Irving in free agency.

Why would you add Kyrie and then trade AD? How does that make them better.

The only reason would be if Davis forces his way out.  I actually don't see that happening but it could.

And LAL is not going to sign and trade for Kyrie because that would hard cap them.  They may sign him outright and they may trade Davis separately (but not likely), but I cannot see that they would do a sign and trade involving Kyrie and Davis.

It is much better next year for the Lakers to sign and trade for Kyrie, because the hard cap is about $40 million over the soft cap, and the Lakers will not be able to go far over the soft cap if they sign Kyrie.  It’s not like they have a bunch of free agents with small cap holds — they’d have to renounce them all.

It will depend on how D'Angelo Russell fits in with Lebron.  So far they seem to play well together. If the Lakers decide to keep Russell (who is FA also), they obviously won't chase after Kyrie.

I think they’re chasing Kyrie regardless.  Maybe they can get the Mavs to take back Russell in a sign-and-trade, but LeBron and Kyrie have decided they will play together next year in LA, and they’ll force out whoever they need to make that happen, including AD, who is no longer worthy to LeBron.

One of the more ridiculous streaks is in real danger of ending tonight.

The Chicago Bulls play the Milwaukee Bucks at home tonight, on TNT.

The Bulls have won the last 20-straight home games nationally televised on TNT, dating back to 2013.

That's crazy for a team that hasn't been elite over the past decade.  I'm rooting for the streak to continue, tho!

The caveat is that they haven't had a TNT home game since the '16-17 season.  ;)

Regardless, that streak is pretty impressive.  Celtics have been victims of this twice.

They have the 1993 NBA all star game on NBA tv. Man that really was the golden age. The players were trying to hard and very few players were not hall of famers.

The only time this gets played is during the Summer Olympics...since it's on NBC. Always looking forward to those Team USA games and this Roundball Rock haha.

I know we were worried about the Bulls in a potential first round series due to some tricky matchups, but honestly the Bulls just look toast now. Like they are going through the motions, but they may end the season like 10 games under .500 lol

I think NY though is a very sneaky dark horse. I mean right now, they are the 6 seed and MIA the 7 seed

I wonder if it’ll keep him out of the ASG?

It would be insane if he didn’t. I get these guys like palling around with each other. But if your team has any remote chance of a championship don’t suit up. Stay home and rest. Especially if you are a player like Gianni’s, Embid or Lebron that have had or will do this over ten times. It’s insane to me these guys would even consider playing and not healing for their teams.

Embiid has already talked about possibly skipping it due to a sore foot.  Being selected is what is important.  Once a player has participated a couple of times, I don't see the draw/value for doing so anymore.

Retired NBA player-turned-TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal took former Los Angeles Lakers big man Dwight Howard to task for having an underwhelming season while playing overseas. “They (Dwight Howard’s team) have a losing record,” said O’Neal. “Somebody sent me they have a losing record. I ain’t losing to nobody in Taiwan how about that. How do you have a losing record in Taiwan? Come on now. You can’t have no losing record in Taiwan.”
