While there isn't that "alpha" like Durant/Irving, this Nets team might now be sneaky dangerous. A legit starting lineup, some real solid pieces off the bench (as well as guys like Cam Thomas who now have their opportunities). It wasn't working with Durant/Irving/Simmons anyways but now they have some real building blocks again and the vibes there also seem better (besides Simmons who I think the Nets wish they could also banish lol).

Nets still have some juice even after trading Durant and Irving if you ask me

They are the Sacramento Kings of the East.

So Dallas played their first game with Kyrie and Luka… They gave up 133 points and lost to Sacramento. Mavs beat the Kings on 02/10 with Irving and no Doncic.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Cam Thomas has an opportunity for the rest of this season to separate himself from the rest of that roster. That competition will be fascinating to watch as the dust settles in Brooklyn.

Cam Thomas may play slightly more than before because he earned it, but now that the trade has cleared and Bridges, Johnson and Finney Smith are in place, things aren't that much different for him. There are actually more guys ahead of him than before. The game last night against the 76ers showed the new distribution of minutes. The new guys are their best players.

The Lakers had a lot of energy last night with their new players.  Vanderbilt especially. Also D'Angelo Russell down the stretch looked good.  Really think they improved their roster a lot.  Unfortunately. KOC on the Ringer now puts them at 6th in power rankings, which is ridiculous, but must say I think they will climb into the playoffs.

Now that KD is in the West, wonder if Lebron will try to work a trade back to the Cavs in the off season, since they have a much better future than the Lakers.

Why would Lebron be worried about KD in the West?  The Celts and the Bucks are bigger obstacles than any team in the West.

Let's see how season plays out.  In theory I agree.  But Lebron to Cavs team that would include Mitchell, Garland, and Mobley and Allen would be pretty tough. The Lakers don't have that same foundation.

How is Lebron going to get to the Cavs without giving up any of those pieces?  I don't think Lebron, Mitchell and Garland would be a good fit.

The only way that would happen is if Bronny happened to get drafted there. That’s the only way I see Lebron moving again. All the reports say that he’s comfortable with his legacy, particularly now as the leading scorer. Anymore jumping around like that will ultimately harm his legacy and make him look like a ring chaser.

Zion “re-aggravated”  his hamstring injury and will be out even longer

I unfortunately fear he won’t last in this league much longer because of all the injuries and lower-body issues he has

I wonder if New Orleans would consider trading. They could probably get a good return from a team that is desperate for star power.

So close to a title as well. How many years do you want to waste before CJ McCollum & Jonas Valanciunas are too old to be key pieces for them?
