In fairness to the Lakers, the league labeling the contact by Embiid a correct no call is kind of laughable.

Fairly officiating calls involving Embiid and the Lakers is kind of like the irresistible force meeting the immovable object.

Got to ask cause I’m always befuddled by it, why do we see more trade proposals to help the lakers, our biggest rival, of any team on here? There has to be more Westbrook/lakers trade ideas the last 4 months here by 5x than any other team.

Yes!  I've said this before -- it is agonizing to see Celtics fans so intrigued by the idea of improving the Lakers roster.

I don’t think that’s really the case. The Lakers have been rumored to be buyers all year, so whenever a player is mentioned as potentially being available, the Lakers get brought up as a possible landing spot. I don’t take that as C’s fans trying to come up with ways to improve the Lakers team.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

NBA really has to fix these rules it is making a mockery of basketball. Tatum had a nice game today, but it certainly was not as memorable as bird trying to get 50 and will quickly be forgotten. Sangun, a nice player for the rockets has 32 on 14-17 shooting. Myles turner had 30, jrue holiday 35, Lebron 46, poole 32, curry 43, porzingas 32 butler 34, van fleet 33. It’s just not nba basketball anymore. It’s like if the mlb had guys hitting .500 all of a sudden or the nfl had guys rushing for 280 every week (I know the passing is crazy but not as bad as the nba has gotten).

Man, Joe Ingles is a very nice asset for the Bucks. I didn't expect him to be this good after his last injury at his age.

Maybe that bodes well for Gallinari?
hope so...

I guess the good thing about suffering three ACL tears in your career is that by the time you get to the third one, you’re an expert in rehabbing it.

People claim Tatum was stat-padding against the Hornets, but whenever I see a lot of these other non-C's games I see them do the exact same thing too (including the other MVP candidates - Jokic & Doncic).

This was an 7 pt game with about 3:00 min to go.  It was a 2 pt game earlier in the 4th.  We absolutely needed the starters to close this out.  Tatum could have come out maybe at 2:00 min to go or could have stopped shooting, but not earlier.  Tatum hit three 3's in those last 2 minutes of the game.  I would say the first 2 were well within the flow of the game, I don't think he was thinking 50 at that point.  The last one, the one that got him to 51, was probably forced for stat purposes some.

I did not see this as egregious or anything like that.  In a game that was still somewhat in question, our best guy was taking big shots to close it out, not to stat pad.  At 1:24, there was a turnover stoppage and it was a 10 pt game.  Sure, at that point you could have cleared the bench but it is also reasonable to just let the starters run it out at that point.  CHA didn't take anyone out either.

I have no problem with any of this.

Yeh.  This was all within the flow of the normal game.  Maybe his last 3.  He did hold the ball and let the shot clock run out on their their last full possession, whereas Plumlee took a freebee layup for the Hornets…

I guess the true tell would have been if he has missed his last shot and was sitting at 48 when they had that last possession.  I still think he’d let the clock run out, but who knows?  The crowd was legit excited when he hit 50.  And 40 for that matter.
Yup

Denver is really starting to put a nice run together.  Jokic last night, 13 of 14 shooting, 36 pts, 12 rebs, 10 asst.  Wow, how do you stop that guy.  So long as Murray and Porter stay healthy, that is a really good team.

MEM staying right with them though, at least for now.  MEM has won 10 straight, settling in with Jackson back, Bane still doing his thing.  Ja being Ja.  Very surprising team in my book.

PHO sitting at 12th.  Wow.  Curse of Crowder I guess.  Wonder if Crowder gets bought out after the trade deadline.  If he is ready to play, there are a number of teams he could probably help (including the Celtics).

If he gets bought out, which is his hope, I expect he’ll go to Miami.
