The West to me is weird. Like... yeah the Nuggets and Grizzlies are great, but does anyone expect them to actually make the Finals too? The Kings are also somehow the 4 seed and Pelicans are the 3 seed, but I don't expect them to go on deep runs in the playoffs either.

Idk... it just feels like all Golden State has to do is make it in the Top-6, and then go on a run from there in the postseason. I'm not that convinced the other teams in the West can go on a run and make the Finals, and the Suns have also fallen off big time compared to last season. Warriors are the only one in that mix who strike me as a real contender and playoff-ready team for obvious reasons. The others kind of have to prove themselves. Mavs with Doncic could be that team but idk if they have enough outside of Doncic against an elite team in a series

I will say though, if the Warriors are bounced out and someone else reaches the Finals, then any team from the East (possibly Boston) should be able to take them down in a series
I wouldn't discount the Pelicans or Grizzlies if they are healthy come playoff time and Luka could all nuts at any time making them a tough out.  That said, I think the Nuggets should be the favorites.  They have the reigning back to back MVP and a solid team around him.   His team hasn't performed well with him on the floor in the last several post seasons, but he should be due this year.

The Warriors have looked old.  I'm not sure they have another run in them as their young guys just aren't good enough to carry them.

As weird as this is to say, I also wouldn't count out either LA team.  They obviously need Davis and Kawhi to be healthy, but if they are they'd both have 2 of the 3 best players in any series they played (except each other obviously) and that matters a lot in a playoff series.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

Yep. Funny enough even OKC is well in the mix too for a playoff spot. There’s a handful of teams all close to each other after the 6 seed in the West including the two LA teams

Warriors need to make some moves to shore up that bench. The young guys aren't contributing enough.

They could maybe couple them with a big contract like Poole or Klay to get another star player.

Besides obviously the C's, I'm rooting for Morant and the Grizz to make noise in the West

NBA TV is basically Lakers TV. I've never seen such a bad irrelevant team get so much national coverage!

Wouldn’t be referring to Siakam, would he? Hmmm

CJ McCollum on Raptors: I think in terms of what they need or what they’re lacking, something’s gonna happen – I don’t know what. There’s rumblings about certain players on the team not being happy and due to tampering, I can’t speak to that but I think they’re gonna move someone.

I don’t think the way he plays a sustainable, Derrick Rose, 2.0.

Not sure you can be definitive regarding his durability at this point.  He could be Derrick Rose or he could be Michael Jordan (in terms of durability).  His body frame is slight by NBA standards so I understand the concern.  He can always scale back on the dunks.  There is plenty more to his game.  My concern would be that he is more like Rob Williams where it isn't as much about how he plays as it is just the way his body is put together.

In any case, I don't expect to see him on the Celtics.  He is a fabulous player though.  Just 23.  A true rising star in the league.

I absolutely love him but his game definitely strikes me as physically explosive and those typically result in some sort of devastating injury at some point.   I hope its not the case with him but I can definitely see it happening with Morant.

C's are now 4-5 games ahead of all of MIL/BKN/PHI for the 1 seed. Could add another 0.5-1 game(s) with a win this afternoon  :)

I’m thinking Lakers, Mavs, Hawks, Heat.
