The Magic and Pistons throwing down 90's style tonight!

https://twitter.com/AnnaHorford/status/1608273137141190657

The announcer was killing me: “Nobody move! Stay in your seats!” 😂😂 Almost like there’s some history there in that building.

https://twitter.com/bleacherreport/status/1608271714135461888?s=46&t=x8m0IsIvhiwwmOwXC8yz8w You can hear the announcer here.

But, yeah, dirty back of the head shot by Hayes. Hard to feel sorry for Wagner, though, given that he started it with the similarly dirty hockey hit on Hayes. Very unlikable player.

Several game suspension coming for both of them I think.

Nets can win all the games they want. It won’t change their lack of a real home crowd lol

Bucks lose! Best part is Giannis was a big part of the loss, having two TOs in a row to lead to OT and not being able to take over in OT. Put up big numbers with 45 and 22, but did it inefficiently with 17/39 fgs and 5 TOs.

Where's Ron Artest when you need him. He'll floor both of these clowns. Malice At The Palace!

Hayes probably getting 10 game suspension for delivering a blow to the back of Wagner's head. Diallo probably getting canned for one or two games for that shove.

Wagner's play was very bad, but it looked apologetic when he tried to check on Hayes. One was a basketball play, heat of the moment. The other was straight assault. Def deserved the ejection. I like how Dwayne Casey was demanding an explanation at how the Magic bench didn't get any punishment for leaving to "de-escalate" the skirmish lol.

Ooooo Bucks losing built some separation from the 1 seed, but now Brooklyn is the 2 seed after winning their 10th straight tonight. I do hope the Bucks/Nets duke it out in the playoffs.

Yeah, that would be ideal. We deserve it after taking the hardest possible route to the Finals last year playing both of them plus Miami lol

Brooklyn clicking of late is making me very nervous.

However, I have full faith in Kyrie to pull some headcase move at some point this season that will halt their momentum.
The guy thrives on turmoil.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Me too, but a lot of them were weak opponents.

Lebron expressed his level of frustration last night basically saying he was at a point in his career where he needed to be playing for a championship.

Well then he shouldn't have re-signed with the Lakers.

The Lakers best option right now is to trade Lebron for assets and rebuild. I wonder if Dallas, Phoenix or Denver can get enough together to get it done.

Clippers or Warriors would also be interesting options.

Jokic is putting up incredible numbers, no question, but his team doesn't really win all that much.  At this point he seems more like an Oscar Robertson type player.  Which is obviously a surefire no doubt HOFer, but not a guy that people consider one of the true all time greats.  Can he at least make the Finals before we go crowning him as a top 10 center ever?  I'd have a hard time putting him in the top 10 at the center position. He seems pretty clearly behind Kareem, Wilt, Bill, Hakeem, Shaq, Moses, Mikan, Robinson so that is at best 9th.  Given his short career so far, I think I'd have Walton and Ewing ahead of him as well.  And that counts Duncan as a PF and not a center, as TD would clearly be ahead of him if he was a center.  I'd even listen to arguments for McAdoo.  And before anyone gets to crazy, McAdoo's 2nd year he lead the league in PPG (his 1st of 3 straight) and finished 3rd in rpg and bpg, all while leading the league in FG%.  The next year he was the MVP finishing in the top 4 in all 3 of those stats.  He like Jokic didn't win much early on with the big stats, but he did pick up 2 titles with the Lakers coming off the bench.

Jokic certainly has the potential to go down as a top 5 center all time, but I'd like to see him translate his individual performance into more team success before crowning him the second coming.  Denver has started off this year well, let's see if they can actually finish.

It's funny to see Jokic getting criticized for not winning while the Nuggets sit atop the Western Conference. Regarding the playoffs, he hasn't had much of an opportunity with his supporting cast at full strength. Lebron was losing for years before he bolted to Miami.

His fault.. wanted his guys that didn’t pan out plus took max contract instead of taking a pay cut to tried and get more FAs..
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Definitely makes you a bit nervous, but honestly I think it more so just shows you how top-heavy the East basically is. I sort of expected it. A lot of those surprise teams earlier in the season like Indiana, Atlanta, Chicago, etc. have all regressed (as expected). Cleveland's the only one who is worthy and still in the mix, but I think the Top-5 in the East currently are truly the 5 best teams in the conference (MIL, BKN, PHI, BOS, CLE). Miami will be a 5 or 6 seed and lingering but that's about it. Everyone else is mostly meh

Admittedly PHI and BKN have been hot lately, but I also felt like they would always be in the mix for the playoffs because I expected things to "average out" as the season progressed, and it has. Miami has also gone from the 10-11 seed to currently the 6 seed and playoffs

yeah having Murray as your second best player for your career and an incredible weak bench he has actually exceeded team expectations. When Lebron hasn’t had at least one of the healthy versions of irving, Bosh, Wade, Davis he has not done much of anything himself except for the one mo Williams year unless I am forgetting a season.

I do think that is fair criticism and a little strange he wouldn’t have accepted making 10 million less at this point in his career. He already is a billionaire with a million side jobs and product sponsorships. That 10 million would make a huge difference in the caliber of free agent they could sign this off-season. If they move on from Westbrook.
