Why is it that almost all these teams draft WRs that are great and in some cases elite talents, and then there's us with the likes of Thompkins, Boyce, Dobson, N'Keal Harry, etc. etc. over the years

Look at most of the star players today. Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Christian Watson, Waddle, St. Brown, etc. etc.

We are calling Watson a star now? I don’t disagree we are bad at drafting wide receivers but he seems like a weird inclusion to your list. Also don’t forget chase

Oh believe me I know there are plenty who could be on that list, hell that could include basically most of the 2019 WR draft class lol. But I was talking about today's games specifically, where there was a lot of awesome WR play and it was mostly young guys/rookies

Idk, but if you can’t draft top WR’s, should probably trade for one like teams have done with Diggs, Hopkins, Brown, Hill, Adams, M-Brown, and so on and so forth. Instead Pat’s are paying Jonnu Smith and Agholor nearly $30M/year for almost no production. When Is the last time NE drafted a WR that made the pro-bowl, Deion Branch?

Miami completely transformed their offense by drafting Waddle and trading for Hill. They are now a top team in the league.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Well I personally would be disgusted if we got hill. Guy is a scum bag. But I do really wish we got Adams.

Not in shock at all. Just waiting. They are about 2 go on a nice losing patch much like last year. Only 3 more wins rest of the way if they’re lucky. And I’m counting the jets as a win which is no gimmie. And lol @ the colts game. Your touting that as some amazing win— please.

Edleman is probably last good WR drafted yet he was a converted QB and just missed a few probowls.

They definitely could. And I'm not touting it as an amazing win, but a win is a win right?

Clay's point isn't wrong at all. The same people who typically dance on the Pats graves when they lose conveniently seem to just disappear when the Pats are doing well or win. If they beat the Jets this next weekend then will they still be waiting?

It's a shame Malcolm Mitchell didn't pan out due to the devastating injury. He looked great and was also key in that SB run (and the SB itself against the Falcons).

Meyers was an undrafted signing but I think he's panned out nicely, and I have high hopes for Thornton. But overall yeah the recent history with WR drafting has been bad for us even though it seems there's been A TON of awesome WRs coming out of the draft over the past 4-5 years and we've missed out on a bunch of them

All 4 teams from the AFC East are in as of right now, and only the Chiefs from the big bad AFC West.  Who saw that coming?

Anyway, good test coming up at home against the Jets.  We are actually favored by 3.5 points.  I still don't dare make a prediction on anything related to the Patriots.  They have looked good lately but then I can't get the Bears game out of my head.  At MIN on Thurs (short week) is a tough game.  Then we get the Bills.  Definitely a tough 3 game stretch.  I think the Jets and Miami games are key.  Can we win those games (both at home).  If we do, we can lose to the Vikings and lose to the Bills (even twice) and still likely make the playoffs.  Just take care of business against the Cards, Raiders, and Bengals.

Where did you see anyone say it was an amazing win? It was nice to get a blowout win but I haven’t seen anyone say it was amazing. Also if you only see 3 wins the rest of the way that is still significantly better than the total of 6 people were throwing around and stomping their feet over.

Yeah I could see this game going either way but do have some confidence in our defense against wilson. The jets coach is probably better than their coaches in years past though.

It was really just Moranis. He will make an appearance after their next loss haha.

The Pats have been playing like many (who watch the games) predicted. They’ve won against the cream puffs and have a hard schedule coming. They have a small chance at the playoffs, but will likely get smoked vs KC or Buff if they even make it. Nonetheless, they are making the haters avoid this thread, which is appreciated.
