Check Tatum’s snap… working out at the Lakers facility today?

I actually think it's cool that:

1. The Lakers allow a Celtic to work out in their facility.

2. Tatum is able to do his daily workouts in a NBA quality facility that could have medical personnel on hand if something happens while in Los Angeles during his off season.

This is funny to me because it is basically like trolling lakers fans at this point. Not sure I have ever seen a fan base want a player gone as bad they do Westbrook. Think there is also some spillover to Lebron fans that want him gone.

Why are we not doing this? The warriors obviously are still trying to improve and we got a dead end of bench https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/268543/Warriors-Host-Ben-McLemore-Elfrid-Payton-Rondae-Hollis-Jefferson-Kenneth-Faried-For-Workouts

Ben McLemore should be in the league. He is a solid bench guard. A below average rotation player to high end 3rd stringer. He belongs in the league.

E.Payton and RHJ are fine defense-only 3rd stringers who are both interesting. I haven't seen Faried in years; no idea what he has left to offer.

WillieGRamirez: Multiple sources have told me the NBA want to finally announce expansion to Las Vegas and Seattle during the Clippers’ two preseason games at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, on Sept. 30 and Oct. 3.

No idea who Willie G. Ramirez is, but I hadn't realized that an announcement could be so close.

If Fenway Sports Group makes a bid, that would presumably mean that Lebron has to divest his shares until he retires, right?

Will be good to have Seattle back.

Will also be good to be betting against some road teams in Vegas.  ;)

He wouldn’t have to divest unless/until they won the bid, and potentially a bit thereafter, maybe not until the off-season before the expansion teams are ready to play.

Also, there’s this relevant article:

I've been planning to go to Vegas for awhile now.  Now I'll have to wait until the expansion team begins play, so I can catch a Celts game, haha.

Interesting.  I think it would be cool to allow a player an ownership stake in a team he was playing for, but their would have to be all kinds of very strict rules, auditing, etc.  A piece of ownership couldn't be compensation under a contract, the team would have to pay fair market for his stake, their would be lots of auditing, etc., etc.

Another problem with this is tampering. Nba players are basically allowed to talk to and hang out with anyone we want. I don’t think we would like draymond green going to parties with Tatum 8 months before his free agency if he was part owner of the warriors (obviously some people already hate it when he is a player)

Doncic putting an absolute clinic against France right now. Dragic, gobert, Fournier, poirier and others all playing. Yabu appears to injured or just sitting out.

"The Clinic" would be a great nick name for Luka.

Kelly Olynyk was known as “The Clinic” during his time in Boston. Not sure if it stuck around though after he was traded.

Yeah, that's an awesome nickname!  It sounded classic as soon I read it.
