So, will we sweep, or will Golden State forfeit down 3-0.

I'm still predicting a sweep.

They'll probably at least make the trip East for Game 3

A lot of people on TV tonight saying Tatum didn't play well. Wrong. Tatum didn't shoot well but he had a career high 13 assists and played excellent defense all night. Hopefully he can get his shot going and get his confidence up around the rim but he played a solid game.

Is everyone ready for the massive overreaction by everyone including me? This first game will be a feeling-out game and will not decide the series but the overreactions will be massive. Conclusions for the whole series will be made. I was even thinking that if the Cs won game one and they haven't lost back to back games all playoffs that it would mean we would win it all. That might be a huge leap. The kind I make offen.

That's the cool thing about being a fan...overreacting  :police:

This team has earned the right to not be counted out because of the resilience they've shown since the new year. That said, most overreactions tend to happen because we only take our team's performance into account - there's 2 teams out there and right now Kerr and his team are going to make adjustments. It's all about adjustments in the playoffs. They took away Tatum's strengths but others stepped up. Now they will make adjustments because there were things that worked for them in the game and they will try to focus on those. And there's always the mental battle which is the most important one, can the team not let off when subconsciously winning takes pressure away.

I'll start: Derrick White is the best mid-season trade acquisition in Celtics history.
Derrick White is the new IT

Biggest fourth quarter point differential in Finals history.

I doubt it. in the locker-room vid Marcus said this is only game 1 and we have alot to improve.

but, there is alot to feel good about when Curry scores 21 points in a quarter, Tatum goes 3-17 and you win pretty big.

this warriors defense isnt like Miami or the Bucks

That's the thing:  the Warriors actually had the best defense in the NBA this season, over the entire 82 games.  We ended up tied with them, I think, or just behind.  We played better over the past three months, but the Warriors were elite.

Meanwhile, their offense ranked just 17th.

It's hard to reconcile those rankings with both their personnel and what we saw last night.

In all honesty I don’t think you can get overconfident about last nights win.  Just grateful for it and the joy of seeing a nearly perfectly played 4th quarter.

Yup

I also can’t fathom how Warriors were the #2 defense. Especially when Miami and Milwaukee looked so dang tough. Granted I didn’t watch them much in the season but idk. The defense is good but doesn’t feel elite (unlike a Miami or Milwaukee)

I don't think you get overconfident. But you have to feel good when your team wins on the road (where the warriors are 9-0) when your star player goes 3-17 and curry erupts for 21 in the first quarter. It's a huge win.

All the pressure is on the warriors game 2 especially with two coming up in Boston (not that playing in Boston has been good for the C's).

Oh yeh!  Absolutely feeling good.  Doesn’t get much better.  Hopefully this team has learned how to handle prosperity.

I worry.  We've seen so many games where it looks like we've broken our bad habits, only to come out flat the next game.  Game 1 was fluky.

But screw it:

I'm leaning into it.
