It's funny - I refuse to wear any Celtics clothing for games. I purposefully put Celtics gear on for the big games Game 1 + 5 vs Milwaukee and Game 6 vs Miami. I no longer can wear celtics gear at home while watching the game.

Celtics-wise, I mean.

I absolutely am.  I’ve got a shirt I’ve worn twice this playoff run, both losses.  I’m not wearing that shirt any more.  I feel like certain threads “jinx” the team.  Other threads work like a reverse jinx. And I will never, ever bet TPs on a game again.

It’s all silly, and totally irrational, but I buy in anyway.
I remember betting ~1000 or so (can't quite remember) on our game 7 against Cleveland. That was the last time I bet TPs.

Yes. And it manifests in believing that if I don't watch they play better. Super frustrating.

I wore an old, ragged Celtics t-shirt for Game 7.  It's gotta be at least 10+ years old, and might date back to 2008.  At the very latest, 2010.  We're undefeated this season in the playoffs with that shirt:  3-0.

Do I wear it for every game of the Finals, or does that diminish its powers?  Maybe I just save it for the must win games.

Not really for the whole playoffs, but I realize there's a T-Shirt/Shorts combo I've been wearing on days the C's have road games, and they are 5-0 when I wear it. Games 4 and 6 against MIL, then the three games against MIA on the road they won. Didn't wear it Game 1 as I was away that day and that's the only road game they've lost since Game 3 against MIL. Decided, I can't take a chance and wore it for Game 7 Sunday and they won! It definitely doesn't work in the home games though lol, like Game 3 and 6 of the Miami series so lesson learned there.

I'll definitely be wearing it for the first two Finals Games and Game 5. Not Game 7 because we'll have obviously have won before then  ;)

Now 6-0 when I wear that combination. Guess what my wardrobe looks like for Sunday!  ;D

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Every game this post-season where I've missed watching any of the first half live but caught the 2nd, the C's have won.

So now I'm actively doing something else until halftime every game.

Not only am I superstitious, but I'm too invested.

After the Pats lost the 2011 Superbowl, I didn't sleep for days.  i fear the same which is why I keep an eye on what's going on, but don't necessarily watch 100%.

I'm getting too old and I need my sleep, LOL.

2010 against the Lakers was the one that really affected my mood for a long period of time.  I largely avoided this site, and distracted myself in ways that didn't involve the Celtics.  Then, we signed Shaq and J.O., and I was hooked again.

Am I the only one that doesn’t like that the Celtics have changed their logo to orange on social media as a protest against gun violence?

The cause is worthy, but don’t mess with the logo!

I mean I'll catch heat for saying it, but I also like the orange color scheme of the C's logo lol.

Orange is also like my 2nd favorite color so that factors in

I don't mind. It's done for a good cause, not like they're just going "YOLO" and changing it to a different color every day
