Showed a lot of heart in this game after the first quarter but ultimately you have to execute too. A -15 turnover margin just ain't it.
Jaylen played his heart out, Smart and Tatum demonstrated a lot of toughness and desire, but just too many d***ed mistakes.
Uh, what? Tatum showed absolutely zero heart whatsoever. Brown and Smart showed heart. Perhaps Al, too. Pretty much everyone else was a no-show or didn't get the opportunity to do anything. Just a complete fold by our guys.
Was it not obvious that I was talking about his return from the injury? Don't be obtuse.
Clearly he didn't play well. Heart and execution are different things.
Naw, that looked like a stinger to me. And to be honest, I kind of get the sense that it was a bit of a "milk" thing with him. Yeah, a stinger hurts, but it's not something you go to the locker room or out of the game like that for. I think he needed a break and tried to recollect himself a bit with the injury break.
Credit to him for coming back in and not completely being soft, but I don't call that heart. Smart coming back in after that gruesome injury and contributing is heart. Tatum coming back in after a questionable stinger and continuing to stink up and actively hurt the team is not heart.
