This team has sucked my soul out-of me 2 times.
I'll root and hope for the best, but I've no confidence in them winning it all. The heat are not a good team, we'll coaches, but the talent is not nba champion caliber.

W/o butler they are a lottery team. Yet we can't beat them with him out?. This team need to grow up and stop taking games off. They don't have the heart of a champion.

I'm sickened in this.

What happens if they meet a playoff hardened warriors in the finals? Champions don't allow the other team off the ropes, but you can almost call this team doing that with 99% accuracy.

As I said before, tatum isn't in "club superstar " until he grows the heck up and finds ways to win rather than trying to force a way to win.

Still don't believe in Joe.

I'm questioning his "injury." (Van Gundy called out how his shoulder looked fine when as soon as he came back in he threw his shoulder into someone as a moving screen.)
It looked to me like he wanted to quit and was just trying to find a way to bail.

yeah, hate to admit it but i thought the same when it happened. i played with a guy in college who would do the same when he was stinking up the joint. he’d always miraculously heal when the circumstances were right.

the writhing in pain, followed by the head down walk to the locker room, only to return exactly when the team had cut the lead to four, had all the telltale signs.

That possibility is very disconcerting.

This was a golden opportunity to crush the Heat’s confidence after the Game 2 beat down and almost erasing their perfect start, I believe they would’ve checked out of the series if we could’ve closed the show.

This team has been resilient all season so no reason not to expect them to tie the series in Game 4, but this was a golden opportunity to be in the driver’s seat and watch Miami fold en route to the Finals.

We will win game 4.

Go Celtics. This is not who we are.

TP!  I think so too.  Tatum will look at the tape and be mad, they all will.

People on here keep complaining about Jaylen Brown's lack of ball handling skills.
I'd say he is pretty good with the ball, his "bag of tricks" dribbling, while useless, is impressive.
The dribbling skill is not the problem - the problem is he tries to go through multiple defenders in thick traffic.
Nobody can do that.

i think it’s both. jaylen definitely drives into double and triple teams like a kamikaze, but his handle in 1-1 and iso situations isn’t very good. he loses the ball when no one is guarding him far too often for a two-guard/small forward.

Was probably JT's worst performance of the season

Right on time for one of the most important games of the season - really of his career.
He is mentally weak and choked on the opportunity.

Put him and Brown and Rob (always hurt) in a package and trade them for Doncic.

In 12 quarters of basketball Miami has won two of them. Boston has won 10.

Celtics are their own worst enemy.
in 12 quarters, Miami has won 2.  C's/Heat have tied for 3 though.  C's have won 7 quarters, unfortunately that's only gotten them 1 win

Tatum was brain dead tonight, very much responsible for this loss. He was terrified, scared to shoot, afraid to make a play, passive, emotionally dispassionate, turnover prone and lazy on defense. As the "alpha" (or at least that's what I thought he was) on this team, he simply cannot take night off.

Brutal to watch - he failed the team, miserably. I can't imagine Bird, KG, or Pierce ever playing with so little heart and aggression. pathetic performance and it cost us.

He should have attacked all night - instead he was exceptionally lazy and just jacked threes all night, hoping they would fall. He was lazy on D too.

I really, really appreciated Jaylen brown tonight. In contrast to Tatum, there's a guy who actually had the balls and grit to attack the rim - to try and impose his will - and he did to a large extent.

it would have been nice if Tatum did the same thing with the same effort. If he had, we would have won. It feels like Tatum lost every loose ball near him tonight. Out hustled on every play.

his immaturity and lack of growth in several key areas is very concerning at this point in his development.

his consistent pouting about non-calls, followed by his refusal to run back on defense when arguing with the refs is atrocious.

his carelessness with the ball is another unacceptable trait at this point in his career.

worst of all, his penchant for completely checking out of games and his mental softness prove he isn’t the star he thinks he is.

it was almost as if the C's were shaving points and it got away from them.

If Tatum's' shoulder had not been miraculously healed back in the dressing room C's may have pulled it out.

Word on Jimmy Butler? Is he going to play Game 4? I thought a knee inflammation can be mitigated with injections?

Should be good to go Game 4. The way it was worded he probably could have came back in.
