Sad second half effort. Unfortunately this was the best chance Cs had to steal a game in Miami imo. Considering Smart might be out again and Horford will miss at least 3 games, Miami likely makes quick work of the Cs. Cs don’t have enough quality depth.

This 3 games stuff is nonsense. It's not even clear he has Covid. Ime said Al is questionable for game two. Plenty of guys have just missed one game.

Also, why was this the best chance? This is probably the worst chance for us. Coming off an emotional series tired and having to travel versus them being rested. And that's not even counting the fact that we were down two starters, or that we have been just as good on the road as at home this season, especially this postseason. We won twice in Milwaukee, including a critical game six. We can take any and all of the remaining road games as long as we're reasonably healthy. We probably don't even lose this one if we had just one of Smart or Al available.
It’s already been reported Cs expect Horford to stay in the protocols through game two.

From Woj. Ime literally said pre-game that Al could be back for game two. It just depends on the testing, if it's even Covid.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Yeah. Reportedly Al was asymptomatic so it could even have been a false negative for all we know.

clearly, some of you guys have never played a game when you’re completely gassed.

what we saw tonight was a perfect example of how a team plays when it’s gassed: stupid reach fouls and poor close-out fouls instead of moving your feet. jump shots and drives to the rim fall short, you commit stupid, lazy turnovers, and you miss free throws. proud of these guys for gutting it out and not quitting, which would have been easy in a situation like this.

add a rested al and marcus to this mix and we’ll see a different c’s team in game two.

Please do tell how missing game one and MAYBE missing game two =  Al will "miss at least 3 games".

That's some remarkable maths right there.

Completely depressing way to lose this game. It was like Miami decided it was time to play hard and win the game and they did - all in a humiliating 3d quarter. Looked like the vulnerability from our health/injury losses combined with all the effort, stress and physicality it took to beat Milwaukee laid itself bare in the third quarter.

Also looked to me like a healthy Celtics team with a little extra rest would beat this Miami team in 5 or 6 games.
It would require that we run an actual motion / ball movement offense and stop dribbling into a mass of defenders with our heads buried completely up our asses. In a walk-it-up halfcourt game vs good teams in the playoffs, we lose every time.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Yes, they were most likely gassed. It’s the eastern conference finals against an inferior roster so being gassed isn’t a good enough or relevant enough excuse for me to forgive completely blowing and throwing away a game in 1 quarter

If he's asymptomatic and still held out, that's even more infuriating.  Enough with this covid bro garbage. Going to let this bs determine a playoff game is beyond ridiculous.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Came back from teaching, disappointed to see the 3rd  Q collapse from the box score. Hope we can make amends in Game 2.
