I really enjoyed listening to Stan last night. I thought he nailed it and I appreciated his willingness to be honest about how the refs treat Giannis.

I like what he said about C's players in the second half getting into the paint and not even looking to score, just looking to pass. I don't mind the number of 3PA, per se, because I think they were mostly good shots. But what Ime seemed to be telling the team was that those 3's are going to be there no matter what so try to get something closer to the rim while there's time.

Getting to the rim more can help stifle Milwaukee's transition offense and help guys get into/stay in rhythm that'll help those 3=pointers.

The number of attempts is fine but the lack of intention to attack has to change.

I think he's somewhat correct, in that if we go cold from outside, we're screwed. However, the Celtics were generating a lot of open looks by going to the basket. You can't ask for much better than that. I suppose maybe Milwaukee doesn't help as aggressively and then those shots aren't as open. But it won't take long for Tatum, Brown and White to figure that out and go hard for layups/free throws.

It's a make or miss league. This is going to be a make or miss series. As long as the defense holds up, we won't be without opportunities to win most games.

I don’t know. Milwaukee’s interior defense softened up in the 3rd quarter and our guys were still trying to drive and dish. It looked like our offense stagnated worse than it probably did because 1) yeah our guys got impatient and started taking the first shot available and 2) Milwaukee placed emphasis on defending the perimeter better which opened up driving lanes our guys didn’t take advantage of

I do hope the C’s can attack the mid range more. Like Horford mixing in more mid range J’s with his threes would be a welcome sight. Same for JB and Tatum

We're going to be waiting a LONG time if we think the Celts are going to actually take advantage of the bucks in the paint at any point.  Like, it just againt gonna happen...ever.

In terms of the middle, the bucks would be positively ecstatic if we took more inefficient, mid range shots.  And they're perfectly content for us to beat our heads against their wall at the rim.  We win by making shots and playing EVEN BETTER defense.  That's the formula.

The first bucket of the game came from JB penetrating and hitting a 17 footer above the foul line.  While it may not be ideal, the Bucks are allowing that shot in order to pack the paint.  I'm not saying to rely on mid range jumpers but if the shot is there and they hit a few of them it could help draw the trees out for hesitation drives and back door cuts to the basket. 

If they get past the first line of defense (like JB did on the first bucket), take a couple foul line/mid range jumpers to make them play honest and put them into more rotation.  C's need to mix it up and add more wrinkles than just 3 pointers, drive and kicks and the occasional futile layups against Giannis and Lopez.
