everyone who hit the court tonight came up big at some point (except White).

looking forward to taking game 3 -- we've played at a different level on the road this half of the year so really want to put the Nets in an 0-3 hole and make the rest of the league worry about playing us instead of the Nets

White picked up two or three cheap/bad calls and it totally took him out of the game.

The 2nd half was Celtics basketball.  Still I think we can play significantly better than that.  We got beat to a lot of 50-50 balls today.

This team can reach a new dimension when Timelord gets back.

This is a really understated point that really didn't get mentioned at all during the broadcast. So many times throughout the first 3 quarters, the Cs would knock a ball loose or there would be a long rebound, and instead of the Cs grabbing the ball and going the other way, it would instead land in the hands of a BKN player for an easy dunk or wide-open 3-pointer.

As we know, the Cs with all of their heart and tenacity are known for securing loose balls. Really happy to see us pull out a game where the ball was literally not bouncing our way.

Something that I'm still getting used to is the Cs defense ability to contain another team's offense for extraordinarily long periods of time. When we were down in the 4th, I was getting annoyed/nervous every time we didn't score, thinking we would run out of time or that we would start trading buckets. But the Cs basically continue to play their game offensively and you forget that the other team hasn't really scored at all for 6-7 minutes. Obviously this is totally unusual in an NBA game and it is something I kind-of take for granted at this point.

he wasn't doing very well even before he picked up the fouls.   needs to get it together quick.

Maybe a slight hot take, but if the C's actually win Game 3 then I think we'll see a sweep. Kyrie's postgame comments sounded like the kind you make after a series is over lol. But also, if the Nets lose Game 3 then I think Kyrie will check out. Kind of like he did in 2019 vs. the Bucks and went YOLO guarding Giannis and shooting like 6-22 (ugh). I know they have Durant but the way the Nets are constructed they need Durant AND Kyrie to play well together to win games. Not easy.

Just watched the game on league pass. Wow, Brooklyn’s defense has been really good in containing Tatum. Like I’ve been legit impressed by it. Of course, goes without saying that Boston’s defense has been terrific and BKN made a lot of tough, improbable, friendly bounce shots.

Also, Al Horford has been playing like an all star these past 2 games. And JB played great defense all throughout but he needs to focus on offense sooner. He played a stellar 2nd half with some breathtaking drives but he isn’t getting guarded out there except when he catches the ball. Nets are really playing him physical off the bounce but if we can get more off ball action out of him, I guarantee that will shred the Nets defense.

Let’s get the next win C’s!!!

Tatum and Brown for the most part were meh yesterday and combined for 41 points. And they still won by 7 and led by 12 late. That bodes well for the C's. Their other starters and role players are stepping up, and so far we haven't seen Jaylen or Tatum go off yet either. I still think at some point this series we'll see Tatum put up 40+ or something

I think the extra day off between games benefits BKN, because that team is somewhat old and slow. I'd like to think as this series drags the Nets begin to get outhustled and the younger C's will just feast. The C's in transition are night and day better than the Nets

I've thought about that too.  Would he want to make the trip back to Boston for a likely elimination game or rather end his season in a friendlier environment.

TP, my gf and i noticed the same thing. The ball had some really weird deflections in that game, and the vast majority of them benefited Brooklyn. Some major bailouts on horrible possessions.

Thankfully we had the patience to weather the storm, and talent won out in the end.

Though i do think our guys can play smarter. We really looked anxious/over energetic for much of that game. A lot of those loose balls/wild rebounds are intuitive plays that you're not going to properly read unless you're "in the zone" mentally. So far this team hasn't had that focus due to nerves.

I think Rob will help. He is a heck of a security blanket and will calm the waters.

Bingo…..the Celtics look so more calm and confident with Rob roaming the paint .  Rob and Al form a back line that is a solid defensive wall.  He is sealing the lanes ,  they know he is there to grab their misses,   Got their backs on defense and he makes the right passes and plays team ball .   They are all riding on the Timelord s bus .
