Congratulations to Marcus!

The best defender on the best defense. His leadership, versatility, defensive awareness, and hustle have been the lynchpins to this defense. He knows where he’s supposed to be, where his teammates are supposed to be, and covers for them when they miss assignments.

Well deserved!

I'm glad he's getting the recognition he deserves.  He's been phenomenal on defense every year (slightly less so last year, but I digress).  He's always been known as a good defensive player, but now he truly has a reputation to uphold.  I know he's up for the challenge.

I'm also impressed with the way he's adjusted his play from last season.  Better decision making and shot selection.  Props to him and Ime.

The Celtics finished with 3, count them, 3 of their starters in the top 10 in the DPOY voting. #1-Smart, #7-Timelord, and #9 Horford. On top of that, Tatum and Brown aren't chopped liver on defense either. That's [dang] impressive.
