Kind of crazy that between now and next Sunday, only two more games will be played this series (because of the multiple off-days between games). But honestly I think that's good for us. Horford gets some rest, and Timelord has some more time to potentially return in say, a Game 5. I feel confident in saying Timelord returning is probably a bigger impact move than Ben Simmons, unless if Simmons has been healthy this whole time and they were faking everything from the start. But he hasn't played in over a year and idk if he's even in the game shape to play in a game like today (which was intense for sure from start to finish)

i doubt ben comes back this series. hopeful timelord does get back this series

4 games looks like a lot of games to have to win v. the Nets.  Very glad they got this one.

Man we could really use RW III. Big Al played great but a little disappointed in Theis as much as I like him We need to keep Claxson off the boards with the easy put backs and man we need to slow down Kyrie even more. I feel really good though that we were able to overcome the deficit late and pull this out. Nothing would have spoiled Easter more than a loss to the Nuts game one. Yes Kyrie the Nuts. And Bruce Brown....how you doin?

I hate to be that guy, but I despise the fact that the Celtics are forced to wear their third jersey on their home court because Nike tells them to and Brooklyn somehow get to wear their home jersey.
The NBA decides what uniforms are worn when, not the shirt manufacturer.

I think if the series is 2-2 or 3-1 BKN, they'll bring him back Game 5. If it's 3-1 BOS, they might decide to keep him out until Game 6. But honestly, just my guess, but I think we will see Timelord at some point this series. I think if they wanted to play it cautious they might have already ruled him out for Round 1. This + all the reporting and him being in practice seems to imply he could be ready in about 1.5 to 2 weeks which based on the schedule puts them at Game 5 (and beyond)

I thought timelord went down on March 30 and they said 4-6 weeks. It's not even close to that yet??

Oh, also hopefully they realize that they are unimpeded in the lane and do not need to settle for any 3 that isn’t wide open. You know.. those plays where a defender is running at a 3 and they side step and shoot a 3? Those are free layups because they play close to the 3 and Durant is just about the only player with the size and speed to  rotate in time.

You're correct.
Nets are 28th in OPP 3FGA and 10th in OPP 3FG%.
Nets are 6th in OPP 2FGA and 15th in OPP 2FG%.
Celtics are 9th in 3FG% and 6th in 2FG%.
We should be going to the basket.

I think they’re going to see that in the film. And Jaylen can just overpower Bruce Brown.

Yes, Jaylen and Tatum are too big and athletic to be stopped, and I don’t think that they can afford risking Durant getting fouls contesting the drives. Drummond is unplayable against the Celtics because everyone can shoot 3s.. every pundit calling him an x-factor clearly doesn’t understand the modern NBA (if you can’t guard a 3, you can’t play).

If Timelord comes back, the Nets are in even worse trouble as the Celtics can go back to tight perimeter defense since Rob will be there to scare Kyrie out of the circle and he’ll be forced to take a pull-up or floater from around the free throw line.
They can also guard the Durant pull-up from the elbow a lot tighter as most of the time that’s the shot he wants but you can’t afford to anticipate it and get blown by.

It's looking like being 4 weeks at most, really. And we've got 3 day breaks in between a lot of our games, so a game 5 or 6 return (if needed) is very possible

Game 5 would be exactly 4 weeks since injury....I think.

I have to say we really got an excellent coach despite how unhappy I was with him early part of the season. He is SOLID!
