Oh, also hopefully they realize that they are unimpeded in the lane and do not need to settle for any 3 that isn’t wide open. You know.. those plays where a defender is running at a 3 and they side step and shoot a 3? Those are free layups because they play close to the 3 and Durant is just about the only player with the size and speed to  rotate in time.

You're correct.
Nets are 28th in OPP 3FGA and 10th in OPP 3FG%.
Nets are 6th in OPP 2FGA and 15th in OPP 2FG%.
Celtics are 9th in 3FG% and 6th in 2FG%.
We should be going to the basket.

I think they’re going to see that in the film. And Jaylen can just overpower Bruce Brown.

Looking forward to next game and watch Durant get pushed around again.
I was surprised by how physical the refs allowed the Celtics to be with KD.  He definitely did not get star treatment for much of the game.  I wonder if that is going to be allowed to continue for the rest of the series.
Maybe not on offence, but on D he got away with an obscene amount

Durant mumbles thru his press answers with a little quiet profanity as he looks at the box score. Funny.

There's a lot of people saying the C's were probably lucky because Durant didn't look like Durant today, which is true. But I also don't think Kyrie and Dragic are going to play like that ALL series long either. Dragic was underratedly huge for them with 15 points, his shots kept them in the game in the 2nd and 3rd when they fell behind by double digits.

And yeah, besides KD and Kyrie I don't see their role players making a huge difference. Maybe 1 game this series they help them and win, but even today outside of Dragic the rest of the guys were meh.

Nets basically need BOTH KD + Kyrie to go off to win this series. They nearly won today thanks to Kyrie going scorched earth in the 2nd half

this series is going to reminiscent of the 2009 series vs. the bulls. except much higher stakes, since BOS and BKN are legit title contenders.

Having Rob Williams in there to play switching D and catch lobs would’ve been great. Theis needs to grab those rebounds with two hands and stop trying to tap them back in.

Agreed. That was close to their best shot. The Nets were incredibly lucky to get that type of a performance from Kyrie. He'll give you one now and then but has some real clunkers in between. Nets aren't winning when he has those clunkers.

This was a win they needed. A wasted and hugely hurtful lost opportunity. Kyrie only has so many of those in him.

nets are way better than a 7th seed to me with all that talent.

but injuries are hurting them right? what major players are out for them? simmons? aldridge? would those two make all the difference?

and us? timelord?
LET'S GO CELTICS!

If Timelord comes back by like Game 5, I think the Nets are toast. Watching today, the Nets have no one to neutralize him (definitely not Drummond lol) and the C's would take big advantage

Pretty sure Aldridge is healthy. He's just cooked

Did i hear one of the questions right that Kyrie “flipped the crowd” during the game? KD was asked if Kyrie feeds off the hostile crowd.

Irving is such a fraud - watching his presser. He is so in love with himself and his imaginary world.

Kyrie didn't mumble his profanity - what a jerkoff.

I hate to be that guy, but I despise the fact that the Celtics are forced to wear their third jersey on their home court because Nike tells them to and Brooklyn somehow get to wear their home jersey.
