Since there was already a "big 3", out of respect for them we should name these new celtic core 3  superstars should have a different nickname, a nickname of their own is best for them and for the big 3. Which one is the best?

Triumvirate.  Way better than those other options.

Doc Rivers' should be Doc Vacation.

The Trinity

Ray did play Jesus Shuttlesworth. PP is the Truth (Spirit). The Big Ticket is the "Father" that changed the basketball culture.

We should call them the B3.... B for Big..... that way we can distinguish them from the Big 3

Boy has this thread gone silent. The PGA's never asked for a nick, they just where tired of being called the big three for they weren't the original Big Three. So if the media is gonna give'm a nick, make a new one.

I like PGA and Boston 3 Party, like to add Three-D

(Although i like Ray's offense a lot, his D was pretty solid too)

Seeing how both KG and Ray Allen loves to play golf.  I think a nickname that would fit them is P.G.A.  You can also market that nickname because it's already been branded.

The Boston Celtics present the P.G.A. tour coming to an NBA city near you.

Because lets face it the Boston Celtics is the hottest ticket in every NBA arena this season.  They already have been rank 2nd by ESPN.  You have players on other teams saying the Celtics are going to lose.

Yeah it's going to be like a Hip-Hop show when the Celtics come to town.  P.G.A. vs NBA.

I like PGA... wthout the tour. Good job on being first

The triforce! Let the dork flag fly!

Pierce: triforce of courage

Garnett: triforce of power

Allen: triforce of wisdom

PGA tour is great, don't get me wrong, but epic heroes need at least a few good nicknames.

Totally off the topic of the new big 3 (or whatever you'd like to call them), but my friend started calling Leon Powe the Hitman his first year, and I liked that. That combination of stoicism, no emotion, but toughness, and in the words of Manny Ramirez, being "a bad man".
Formerly scotthp49 at the old site. Didn't have much to say last year, but I missed you guys too much.

HA! Imagine some of the Boston sports media trying to figure out "triumvirate"
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."
