Since there was already a "big 3", out of respect for them we should name these new celtic core 3  superstars should have a different nickname, a nickname of their own is best for them and for the big 3. Which one is the best?

About Rajon's nickname;

Here in Croatia, there is a candy called "Rondo C" (I'm eating it as I type this)

Here's a pic:

They are quite good; as Rajon is ;)

How about The We Haven't Won a [dang] Thing Trio.

i don't recall Russell or Cowens or Bird thinking about or talking about or pondering any nicknames. those guys were concerned about winning basketball games - not some silly moniker.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Andy Jick started a thread after the game four loss titled the "The Wee Three". That cracked me up, perhaps not the best nickname (too negative ;)), it's certainly my pick for best jeer when this trio fails to meet expectations. I thought it deserved a mention in this thread.

I like the We Haven't Won A [dang] Thing Trio.

I think they would like that one the best too.

How about we remove Ray Ray and just call Pierce and KG "THE 3-4 PUNCH"? (or the 4-3 Punch).

Since this is a nickname thread I thought I would share MY nicknames for some Celtics:

James Posey = The Villan (i think i heard that somewhere so i can't call it an original, the guy just looks/plays like a villan).

Leon Powe - The Bouncer (this is because when KG first arrived in Boston he thought Leon was Security! lol)

Tony Allen - Turnover Tony (this is because Tony Allen on the offensive end is a turnover ready to happen. I think I have better handles and a higher ball IQ than him. Not to mention he continues to throw down meaningless dunks afer the whistle.

Eddie House - Crazy Eddie or Energy Eddie (both should be obvious, lol). Also, I love Miracle Johan's song on Eddie House entitled "Too Nice & Too Quick".
"Perk is not an alley-oop guy" - Tommy Heinson - Feb 27th 2008 vs. Cleveland

Ray Allen is a total mess!

How about the Big 2 featuring Rondo and two guys we've never heard of.

Cassell?  I don't think he even made it to the game last night?  I'd take House anyday over a washed up Cassell.  I think more attention should be paid to the "TEAM" since they want to talk about the "TEAM" concept so much.  I find it funny that 7 months into the season people are still trying to come up with special nicknames for the "new big 3" and ignoring the rest.

Like any fan I'm frustrated with Ray Allen and his "I can't hit the broad side of a barn" slump.  Sorry but Perkins is a poor man's Ben Wallace (today's Ben Wallace, not 4 years ago Ben Wallace).

The Triumvirate

The term triumvirate (from Latin, "of three men") is commonly used to describe a () regime dominated by three powerful individuals. The arrangement can be formal or informal, and though the three are usually equal on paper, in reality this is rarely the case.
