Assuming that’s who we face I’m going to stick my neck out and say Celtics in 5 or 6 at the most. I think we have their measure. Durant and Cryrie will have to play outstandingly every game to beat us.

They came under my prediction (I voted 4 to 5 but I thought it would be 5 to 6), but I did say the Nets would have to play outstandingly every game, and unfortunately Cryrie and KD only each had one game where they played outstandingly and it wasn't the same game.

That said, this was a sweep but it was a very close sweep. Game 1 we needed a buzzer beater, Game 2 we had to come back from 15+ down, Game 3 we needed a 39 burger from Tatum for a 6 point win and Game 4 we closed it to 1 in the final couple of minutes. So it's not like we thrashed them. I hope that the closeness of the contest, against a flawed Nets side where the stars underperformed, will give the team food for thought as they prepare for either Milwaukee or Chicago. I think we have Chicago's measure, but Milwaukee are much more together as a team than Brooklyn were, even without Middleton they have a strong team ethic and they're the defending champs.

We need to approach whoever we play against with confidence but humility, and maintain the composure we had in this series, where we didn't panic whenever the Nets went on a run. If we can maintain that we should be in good stead against whoever we have to play.

one real disappointment every year that the C's make it past the first round -- no more games called by Mike.  have to contend with the incompetent boobs they use for the national broadcasts that do nothing but talk about whoever the C's are playing and ignore the C's.

The Kentucky Derby is that evening, with the main race run near 7.  My guess is that factored into the decision.  (I don’t understand the appeal of the Derby, but it gets a lot of attention.)
